On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, Ambassador Mauricio Escanero had the honor of presenting to the President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog, the Letters of Credence that accredit him as Ambassador of Mexico to the State of Israel, a high responsibility with which he has distinguished the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The Amb. Escanero took this opportunity to convey the cordial invitation that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has extended to President Isaac Herzog to make an official visit to Mexico in the framework of the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which is commemorated in 2022 .
Likewise, the main issues on the bilateral agenda were addressed in its various areas: deepening political dialogue; the shoring of the bilateral regulatory framework; the strengthening of trade and investment links and cooperation in science, technology and innovation; as well as the increase in academic, cultural and community exchanges. In particular, they agreed on the opportunity offered by the 70th Anniversary to promote the strategic strengthening of the bilateral relationship with a comprehensive and long-term perspective.
The Amb. Mauricio Escanero was the first ambassador to present credentials to President Isaac Herzog, who took office in July 2021.
