Winners of the Videoclip Contest: “Mexico and Finland Together for the Environment” 

• Middle School students of different nationalities studying in the Finnish School System participated in the contest launched last February.

• The contest is part of the commemoration of the Centenary of Finnish Independence (Suomi100) and the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Finland.

• An award ceremony to be held on May 11th, 2017.

The Embassy of Mexico in Finland is proud to announce the winners of the videoclip contest “Mexico and Finland Together for the Environment”.

1st Place: Veera Melvasalo, “The Lungs of the Earth” (a.k.a What is important)

2nd Place: Jules Cissac, “Finland and Mexico Together for the Environment”

3rd Place: Sofia Korkkinen, “The Next Heroes”

In keeping with the theme for the Finnish Centenary of Independence “together”, the Embassy of Mexico organized a videoclip contest in which students presented proposals on how both countries could work side-by-side in favor of our environment.

After a careful evaluation of the jury –comprised of the Embassy of Mexico, the Ministry of Environment of Finland, and the Center for Sustainable Development Education and Training (CECADESU) of Mexico- the three first-place winner have been announced.

The participating videos were evaluated on the basis of a proposal in which Finland and Mexico, or their populations, could work together in creating local solutions to help raise flight climate change and foster sustainability. The jury selected videos based on information and content, innovation, impact, feasibility, and creativity.

The contest was aimed at Middle School students in Finland. The main objective was to help raise awareness on important global phenomena such as climate change and foster an active local participation. Likewise, the contest was held in recognition of the Paris Agreements on Climate Change signed by both countries in 2016.

This contest is part of the official Suomi100 program on the occasion of the Centenary of Finnish Independence, as well as the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Mexican-Finnish diplomatic relations.

Ganadores del Concurso de Videoclip: “México y Finlandia Juntos por el Medio Ambiente”

• Estudiantes de secundaria de diferentes nacionalidades integrados en el Sistema de Educación finlandés participaron en el concurso lanzado en febrero pasado.
• El concurso es parte de las actividades conmemorativas del Centenario de la Independencia de Finlandia (Suomi100) y del 80° aniversario de relaciones diplomáticas entre México y Finlandia.
• La ceremonia de premiación será el 11 de mayo de 2017.

La Embajada de México en Finlandia tiene el agrado de anunciar los ganadores del concurso de videoclip “México y Finlandia Juntos por el Medio Ambiente”.

Siguiendo el lema: “unidos”, del Centenario de Independencia de Finlandia, la Embajada de México organizó un concurso de videoclips en el que los estudiantes presentaron propuestas de cómo México y Finlandia podrían trabajar de la mano a favor de nuestro medio ambiente.

Se anunciaron los tres primeros lugares, tras una cuidadosa evaluación del jurado, integrado por la Embajada de México, el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente de Finlandia y el Centro de Educación y Capacitación para el Desarrollo Sustentable (CECADESU) de México.

Los videos participantes fueron evaluados según la propuesta para que Finlandia y México, o sus respectivas, pudieran trabajar conjuntamente, con el fin de crear soluciones locales para luchar contra el  cambio climático y promover la sustentabilidad.

El concurso estuvo dirigido a estudiantes de secundaria en Finlandia y el principal objetivo fue generar conciencia sobre la importancia de un fenómeno global como el cambio climático y promover la activa participación local. Asimismo, el concurso fue organizado en reconocimiento a los Acuerdos de París sobre Cambio Climático, firmado por ambos países en 2016.

Este concurso es parte del programa oficial Suomi100 en ocasión del Centenario de Independencia de Finlandia, así como de la celebración del 80 aniversario de las relaciones diplomáticas México-Finlandia.
