Every summer, the river Thames riviera fills up with colour, thanks to the arrival of the “London Bridge City Summer Festival”; London’s newest and largest outdoor free urban festival.

On the 23rd of July, some of the finest artists from Latin America twill take the stage of the “London Riviera”. And Mexico will be represented by two contrasting exponents of its musical scene: Chiosan who is showcasing her solo debut album “Onironauta” and the traditional Son Jarocho ensemble “El Teterete”.

Chiosan, is a musician/singer and ex member of Austin TV, a very well-known alternative rock band in Mexico. He style swings from punk-rock to electronic, with a mixture of synthesizers. Her debut solo album is called Onironauta, inspired by her dreams and a fantastic nebulae of melodies that she describes as “synth dream pop”. Chiosan’s stage presence is truly a sensory experience for the audience.

Contrastingly, the festival also presents “El Teterete”, coordinated by Adriana Alvarado, is a clear example of the Mexican musical tradition. The Fandango is a festive gathering where musicians come together to play Son Jarocho, sharing music and dance. These gatherings have become so popular that they can be found in many cities of the US and most recently in Europe. The Fandango, has remained current but classical and full of the folklore that makes the state of Veracruz so unique.
