Do I need a mexican Visa?

ATTENTION: As of October 22, 2023, foreigners who intend to transit through Mexican international airports whose nationalities require a visa to travel to Mexico must have a Visitor visa without permission to carry out remunerated activities in order to board any flight to Mexico.

Immigration facilities

A Mexican visa is not required for tourism, transit or unpaid activity with a stay of less than 180 days, as long as the person has a valid and current multiple entry visa or a permanent residence permit from one of the following countries:
United States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Schengen countries.

In Switzerland, the equivalent of a permanent residence permit is a type “C” permit, so people with this type of permit do not require a visa to travel to Mexico. On the other hand, holders of a Swiss type “B” residence permit, whose nationality requires a visa, must apply for one at the Embassy.

NOTE: Due to the absence of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Kosovo, Kosovar citizens cannot currently travel to Mexico.

  

E-visas for Russian, Türkiye and Ukrainian nationals

Nationals of Russia, Türkiye or Ukraine who do not fall under the above assumption can apply for an electronic visa, through the following link: https://www.inm.gob.mx/sae/publico/solicitud.html.

ATTENTION: if you are traveling to Mexico with an electronic permit (SAE), please check first if the airline you are traveling with accepts the SAE. If for any reason the airline cannot verify your SAE at check-in, your boarding will not be approved.

 

How do I apply for a visa?

As of January 2024, visa applications for non-remunerated activities (tourism, business, transit, among others) for up to 180 days can be made exclusively through the website https://citas.sre.gob.mx/. If your stay in Mexico will exceed this period, please consult the application procedure in the corresponding section.

Prior to requesting an appointment at the above website, please make sure you have the complete requirements listed below.

 

Requirements to apply for a visa at the Embassy of Mexico in Bern:

 

  1. The following documents are required for the issuance of a visa, which must be presented in original on the date of your appointment:

1. Completed application form (currently only available in English).

2. Copy of the passport data sheet, which must be valid for at least six months prior to visa issuance.

3. Swiss residence permit, if you do not have Swiss nationality.

4. A recent passport-size photo. The photo must be taken from the front, without glasses and on a white background. Please make sure that your photo is fully visible and frontal.

5. Proof of your financial situation, for which you must submit:

a) Payroll receipts for the last 3 months proving at least CHF 1'300.00 monthly income, accompanied by proof of employment for at least one year, issued by your employer.

Or

b) Bank statements for the last 3 months confirming at least CHF 3'850.00 average monthly balance.

If the applicant is an economic dependent (minor or spouse): original and copy of the passport of the person who will prove financial solvency; And original and copy of the document that proves the family relationship with the sponsor:

  • Spouse: original of the marriage certificate issued by a competent authority.
  • Children: original of the applicant's birth certificate (the visa will only be issued if the applicant is under 18 years old and has not married, or if the person is under legal guardianship).

 

Uncomplete documentation will result in the application being rejected and the visa denied.

II. Consular interview on the day of your appointment. Unsatisfactory interviews will result in rejected applications.

III. Cover the visa fee, which is payable in cash on the day of your appointment. (See consular fees: https://embamex.sre.gob.mx/suiza/index.php/tarifas-consulares)

NOTE: Visa fees are charged based on the application analysis and the completion of the consular interview, regardless of the issuance or denial of the visa. Denied visas are non-refundable.

IMPORTANT:

The visa is valid for 180 days after issuance and for multiple entries.

If the applicant is a minor, both parents must be present to sign the visa application. If only one parent shows up, the parent who does not attend must send an authorization signed by a notary in English or Spanish granting authorization for her child to obtain the visa.

Documents not issued in Switzerland or Mexico must be apostilled by the authorities of the country issuing the document and, if applicable, include an official translation to Spanish or English. If the documents do not have an apostille or translation, the application will not be processed.

Documents issued in countries that are not signatories to the apostille convention (see list) must be legalized by the Mexican Embassy or Consulate in the country issuing the document.

In accordance with international practice, being a Mexican visa holder does not guarantee entry into Mexico. The visa allows its bearer to travel to Mexico, but entry into the country is authorized exclusively by Mexican Immigration authorities upon arrival.

If you require a visa to visit Mexico, it is recommended that you purchase your flight tickets after you have obtained the visa.

  • Completed APPLICATION FORM (currently only available in English).
  • Copy of the passport with the personal data. The passport must be valid for at least six months before issuing the visa. For non-Swiss citizens, a copy of the Swiss residence permit must be attached.
  • A recent passport photo (please do not attach the picture to the application). The picture must be taken frontally, without glasses and against a white background (we recommend an appropriate photo studio for the picture). Please make sure that your head is completely visible on the picture.

  • Original letter of admission from the academic institution. The letter MUST COME FROM MEXICO and must contain ALL the following information:
  • Applicant’s full name and nationality
  • Prospective academic level of achievement and area of study
  • Subjects where the applicant will be enrolled
  • Starting date and ending date of the courses
  • Tuition and fees associated
  • Number of registry (RFC), full address and contact information from the academic institution.

ALL travelers who will be performing paid work in Mexico require a "work permit", which is requested by the employer at the Mexican immigration office (Instituto Nacional de Migración) in Mexico. Once you have received the authorization number (NUT number), you have 30 days to make an appointment to visit us and pick up your visa.

On the day of the appointment please bring following documents:

Einreisebestimmungen

Ein mexikanisches Visum ist für Tourismus, Transit oder unbezahlte Tätigkeiten mit einem Aufenthalt von weniger als 180 Tagen nicht erforderlich, solange die Person ein gültiges Mehrfachvisum oder eine Daueraufenthaltsgenehmigung aus einem der folgenden Länder besitzt:

E-Visa für russische, türkische und ukrainische Staatsangehörige

ACHTUNG: Wenn Sie mit einem elektronischen Visum (SAE) nach Mexiko reisen, überprüfen Sie bitte zuerst, ob die Fluggesellschaft, mit der Sie reisen, das SAE akzeptiert. Wie kann ich ein Visum beantragen?

Ab Januar 2024 werden Visa für unentgeltliche Tätigkeiten (Tourismus, Wirtschaft, Transit u. a.) für bis zu 180 Tage ausschliesslich über die Website https://citas.sre.gob.mx/  beantragt. Sollte Ihr Aufenthalt in Mexiko diesen Zeitraum überschreiten, konsultieren Sie bitte das Antragsverfahren in dem entsprechenden Abschnitt.

Bevor Sie einen Termin auf der Website beantragen, achten Sie bitte darauf, dass Sie die unten aufgeführten Voraussetzungen vollständig erfüllen.

 

Voraussetzungen für die Beantragung eines Visums bei der Botschaft von Mexiko in Bern:

  1. Für die Erteilung eines Visums sind folgende Unterlagen erforderlich, die am Tag Ihres Termins im Original vorzulegen sind:
  1. ausgefülltes Antragsformular (derzeit nur in englischer Sprache verfügbar).
  2. Kopie des Passdatenblatts, das noch mindestens sechs Monate vor Erteilung des Visums gültig sein muss.
  3. Schweizer Aufenthaltsbewilligung, falls Sie nicht die Schweizer Staatsangehörigkeit besitzen.
  4. Ein aktuelles Foto in Passgrösse. Das Foto muss von vorne, ohne Brille und auf weissem Hintergrund aufgenommen sein. Bitte achten Sie darauf, dass Ihr Foto vollständig sichtbar und frontal ist.
  5. Ein Nachweis über Ihre finanziellen Verhältnisse, den Sie einreichen müssen:
  1. a)Lohnabrechnungen der letzten drei Monate, die ein monatliches Einkommen von mindestens CHF 1'280.00 ausweisen, zusammen mit einem von Ihrem Arbeitgeber ausgestellten Nachweis, dass Sie seit mindestens einem Jahr beschäftigt sind.

Oder

  1. b)Bankauszüge der letzten 3 Monate, die ein durchschnittliches monatliches Guthaben von mindestens CHF 3'850.00 ausweisen.

Wenn der Antragsteller wirtschaftlich abhängig ist (Minderjähriger oder Ehegatte): Original und Kopie des Reisepasses der Person, die die wirtschaftliche Leistungsfähigkeit nachweist, sowie Original und Kopie des Dokuments, das die familiäre Beziehung zu der Person belegt, die die wirtschaftliche Leistungsfähigkeit nachweist:

  • Ehegatte: Original der Heiratsurkunde oder des Nachweises des Zusammenlebens oder eines gleichwertigen Dokuments, ausgestellt von der zuständigen Behörde.
  • Kinder: Original der Geburtsurkunde des Antragstellers (das Visum wird nur ausgestellt, wenn der Antragsteller unter 18 Jahre alt und nicht verheiratet ist oder wenn er sich im Herkunftsland befindet).

Falls Sie die in den Anforderungen genannten Dokumente nicht einreichen, wird Ihr Antrag abgelehnt und Ihr Visum wird verweigert.

 

  1. Konsularisches Gespräch am Tag Ihres Termins.WICHTIG: Bei ungenügenden Vorstellungsgesprächen wird der Antrag abgelehnt.

III. Die Visakosten sind am Tag des Termins in BAR zu bezahlen. (Konsulargebühren).

 

HINWEIS: Die Visakosten werden nach Eingang des Antrags und nach Abschluss des konsularischen Gesprächs bezahlt, unabhängig davon, ob das Visum erteilt oder verweigert wird. Die Gebühr für ein abgelehntes Visum wird nicht zurückerstattet.

WICHTIG!                                          

Das Visum ist nach der Ausstellung 180 Tage lang gültig und kann für mehrere Einreisen genutzt werden.

Ist der Antragsteller minderjährig, müssen beide Elternteile bei der Unterzeichnung des Visumantrags anwesend sein. Ist nur ein Elternteil anwesend, muss der nicht anwesende Elternteil eine notariell beglaubigte Vollmacht in englischer oder spanischer Sprache vorlegen, in der er seinem Kind erlaubt, das Visum zu erhalten.

Dokumente, die nicht in der Schweiz oder in Mexiko ausgestellt wurden, müssen von den Behörden des Landes, das das Dokument ausgestellt hat, apostilliert werden und falls nötig, eine offizielle Übersetzung ins Spanische oder Englische enthalten. Wenn die Dokumente nicht mit einer Apostille oder einer Übersetzung versehen sind, wird der Antrag nicht bearbeitet.

Dokumente, die in Ländern ausgestellt wurden, die das Apostille-Übereinkommen nicht unterzeichnet haben (siehe Liste), müssen von der mexikanischen Botschaft oder dem mexikanischen Konsulat in dem Land, das das Dokument ausstellt, legalisiert werden.

In Übereinstimmung mit der internationalen Praxis garantiert ein Visum nicht die Einreise nach Mexiko. Das Visum berechtigt Sie zwar zur Einreise nach Mexiko, die Einreise wird jedoch ausschliesslich von den mexikanischen Einwanderungsbehörden bei der Ankunft genehmigt.

Alle Reisenden, die sich länger als 180 Tage in Mexiko aufhalten, müssen ein Aufenthaltsvisum beantragen, unabhängig von ihrer Nationalität.   1. a) Kopie Ihrer Gehaltsabrechnungender letzten 6 Monate, auf der mindestens3‘830.00 CHF monatliches Einkommenbestätigt wird, bitte fügen Sie hinzu: der Nachweis über ein bestehendes Arbeitsverhältnis seit mindestens einem Jahr (ausgestellt von Ihrem Arbeitgeber). Die Unterlagen müssen am Tag des Vorstellungsgesprächs im Original vorgelegt werden.

**Alternativ dazu können Sie eine Kopie der Bestätigung eines Stipendiums (falls vorhanden) einreichen.

**Bei Antragstellern unter 25 Jahren ist eine Bürgschaft der Eltern möglich, worin diese die finanzielle Unterstützung bestätigen (bitte fügen Sie die originale Bürgschafterklärung der Eltern mit Unterschrift, eine Kopie Ihrer Geburtsurkunde, und eine Kopie der Ausweise Ihrer Eltern, sowie die Einkommennachweise der letzten sechs Monate hinzu Punkt 4 oben)

  • Fotokopie der Zulassung der mexikanischen Universität oder Schule zum Studium in spanischer Sprache. Das Schreiben muss mit dem offiziellen Stempel, mit der Unterschrift des Verantwortlichen und mit dem offiziellen Geschäftslogo der Universität versehen sein. Folgende Informationen müssen dem Schreiben zu entnehmen sein: Dauer des Studiums, Studiengebühren für die Dauer des Aufenthalts, Studienprogramm zu dem Sie eingeschrieben sind.

  • ALLE Reisenden, die in Mexiko eine vergütete Tätigkeit ausüben werden, benötigen eine "Arbeitserlaubnis", welche vom Arbeitgeber bei der mexikanischen Ausländerbehörde (Instituto Nacional de Migración) in Mexiko beantragt wird. Wenn Sie den Genehmigungsnummer (NUT Nummer) erhalten haben, haben Sie 30 Tage Zeit um ein Termin zu vereinbaren um Ihres Visum abzuholen.
  • Nachdem Sie die Arbeitserlaubnis von Ihren Arbeitgeber erhalten haben, schicken Sie bitte die NUT Nummer per E-Mail, Kopie der ersten Seite des Reisepass und Ihre Geburtsregister (Esta dirección de correo electrónico está siendo protegida contra los robots de spam. Nach Überprüfung der NUT Nummer, melden wir uns per E-Mail bei Ihnen, um einen Termin zu vereinbaren.

Am Tag des Termins bringen Sie bitte folgende Dokumente mit:

Alle Reisenden, die sich länger als 180 Tage in Mexiko aufhalten, müssen ein Aufenthaltsvisum beantragen, unabhängig von ihrer Nationalität. Um ein solches Visum zu beantragen, müssen Sie eine Kopie der folgenden Dokumente per Post an die Botschaft (Weltpoststrasse 20, CH-3015 Bern) senden und diese am Tag Ihres Termins im Original vorlegen.

  1. Ausgefülltes ANTRAGSFORMULAR (Zur Zeit nur auf Englisch verfügbar).
  2. Kopie der Seite des Reisepasses mit den persönlichen Angaben. Der Reisepass muss bei Antritt der Reise eine Gültigkeitsdauer von mindestens sechs Monaten haben. Bei nicht Schweizer Staatsangehörigen ist eine Kopie der Aufenthaltsgenehmigung für die Schweiz beizufügen.
  3. Ein aktuelles Passbild (bitte kein Bewerbungsbild und kein eingescanntes Passbild beifügen). Das Bild muss frontal, ohne Brille und vor weissem Hintergrund aufgenommen werden (wir empfehlen ein entsprechendes Fotostudio für die Aufnahme).   4. Bestätigung des Rentenbescheids. (wird von Ihrem Rentenversicherungsträger ausgestellt).

  • Kopie Ihrer Gehaltsabrechnungen (Rentenbescheid) der letzten 6 Monate, auf der mindestens 6‘380.00 CHF monatliches Einkommen bestätigt wird. Die Unterlagen müssen am Tag des Vorstellungsgesprächs im Original vorgelegt werden.

INFORMACIÓN EN ESPAÑOL

ATENCIÓN: A partir del 22 de octubre de 2023, las personas extranjeras que pretendan realizar tránsito por aeropuertos internacionales mexicanos cuyas nacionalidades requieran de visa para viajar a México deberán contar con visa de Visitante sin permiso para realizar actividades remuneradas para poder abordar cualquier vuelo con destino a México.

¿Necesito un visado para viajar a México?

Facilidades migratorias

No es necesaria la visa mexicana para turismo, tránsito o actividad no remunerada con una estadía menor a 180 días, siempre y cuando la persona cuente con una visa de múltiples entradas, válida y vigente o un permiso de residencia permanente de alguno de los siguientes países:

Estados Unidos, Canadá, Japón, el Reino Unido de la Gran Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte y los países del espacio Schengen.

En Suiza, el equivalente al permiso de residencia permanente es el permiso tipo “C”, por lo que no requieren visa para viajar a México las personas que cuenten con ese tipo de permiso. En cambio, los portadores de permiso de residencia suizo tipo “B”, cuya nacionalidad requiera visado deberán tramitarlo ante la Embajada.

NOTA: Debido a la ausencia de relaciones diplomáticas entre México y Kosovo, los ciudadanos Kosovares no pueden viajar a México por el momento.

Visado electrónico para nacionales de Rusia, Türkiye y Ucrania

Los nacionales de Rusia, Türkiye o Ucrania que no se encuentren en el supuesto anterior pueden solicitar una visa electrónica (SAE), mediante el siguiente enlace https://www.inm.gob.mx/sae/publico/solicitud.html .

ATENCIÓN: si viaja a México con un permiso electrónico (SAE), por favor compruebe antes si la aerolínea con la que va a viajar acepta este permiso. Si por alguna razón la aerolínea no puede verificar su autorización electrónica (SAE) al momento del check-in, su embarque no será aprobado.

 

¿Cómo solicito un visado?

A partir de enero de 2024, las solicitudes de visa para realizar actividades no remuneradas (turismo, negocios, tránsito, entre otras) hasta por 180 días se realizan exclusivamente por medio del sitio web https://citas.sre.gob.mx/ . Si su estancia en México excederá esta temporalidad, consultar el procedimiento de solicitud en el apartado correspondiente.

Previo a solicitar una cita en el sitio web arriba señalado, asegúrese de contar con los requisitos completos que se enlistan a continuación.

 

Requisitos para solicitar un visado en la Embajada de México en Berna:

 I. Los siguientes documentos son necesarios para la emisión de un visado, los cuales deberán ser presentados en original en la fecha de su cita:

  1. Formulario de solicitud completo (actualmente sólo disponible en inglés).
  2. Copia de la hoja de datos del pasaporte, el cual debe tener una validez mínima de seis meses antes de la emisión del visado.
  3. Permiso de residencia suizo, en caso de no tener nacionalidad suiza.
  4. Una foto reciente tamaño pasaporte. La foto debe tomarse de frente, sin gafas y sobre un fondo blanco. Por favor, asegúrese de que su foto sea completamente visible y frontal.
  5. Comprobante de su situación financiera, para lo cual debe presentar:

a) Recibos de pago de nómina de los últimos 3 meses que comprueben al menos 1'300.00 CHF de ingresos mensuales, acompañados de la constancia de que cuenta con empleo durante al menos un año, expedida por su empleador.

       O

b)Estados de cuenta bancarios de los últimos 3 meses, en los que se confirme al menos 3'850.00 CHF de saldo promedio mensual.

Si el solicitante es dependiente económico (menor o cónyuge): original y copia del pasaporte de la persona que demostrará la solvencia económica; Y original y copia del documento que acredita el vínculo familiar con la persona que demuestra la solvencia económica:

  • Cónyuge: original del acta de matrimonio o constancia de concubinato o figura equivalente emitida por autoridad competente.
  • Hijos: original del acta de nacimiento del solicitante (la visa solo será emitida si el solicitante es menor de 18 años y si no ha contraído matrimonio, o si la persona se encuentra en estado de interdicción y se encuentra bajo tutela jurídica).

En caso de no presentar los documentos como se mencionan en los requisitos, su solicitud no será procedente y la visa será negada.

 

II. Entrevista consular el día de su cita. Las entrevistas insatisfactorias resultarán en solicitudes rechazadas.

III. Cubrir el costo del visado, el cual se paga en efectivo el día de su cita. (Ver las tarifas consulares: https://embamex.sre.gob.mx/suiza/index.php/seccion-consular/tarifas-consulares)

NOTA: el cobro de la visa se realiza con base en la recepción de la solicitud y la realización de la entrevista consular, independientemente de la emisión o negación del visado. El cobro de las visas negadas no es reembolsable.

 

IMPORTANTE:

El visado es válido durante 180 días después de su emisión y para múltiples entradas. 

Si el solicitante es menor de edad, ambos padres deben estar presentes para firmar la solicitud de visa. Si solamente se presenta uno de los padres, el padre que no acude debe enviar una autorización firmada por notario en inglés o español concediendo autorización para que su hijo obtenga la visa.

Los documentos que no sean expedidos en Suiza o México deberán estar apostillados por las autoridades del país emisor del documento y, en su caso, incluir traducción oficial al español o inglés. Si los documentos no cuentan con apostilla ni traducción, la solicitud no será procesada.

Los documentos emitidos en países que no son firmantes de la convención de la apostilla (ver listado) deberán ser legalizados por la Embajada o Consulado de México en el país emisor del documento.

De conformidad con la práctica internacional, ser portador de visa no le garantiza el ingreso a México. La visa le autoriza a viajar a México, pero la entrada al país es autorizada exclusivamente por las autoridades de Migración mexicanas al momento de su arribo.

Si requiere un visado para visitar México, es recomendable que compre sus boletos de avión después de haber obtenido el visado.

  • La organización/institución debe declarar que se hará cargo económicamente de los gastos de manutención y otros gastos del solicitante mientras esté en México.

***En el caso de los solicitantes menores de 25 años, es posible una garantía parental, en la que los padres confirman su apoyo financiero. Si este es el caso, por favor adjunte una copia de su certificado de nacimiento, y una copia de las tarjetas de identificación de sus padres, así como una prueba de los ingresos de los últimos seis meses anteriores a la cita.

  • Carta original de admisión de la institución académica. La carta DEBE VENIR DE MÉXICO y debe contener TODA la información siguiente:
  • Nombre completo y nacionalidad del solicitante.
  • Nivel académico a cursar y área de estudio.
  • Materias que el solicitante llevará.
  • Fecha de inicio y finalización de los cursos.
  • Matrícula.

TODOS los viajeros que vayan a realizar un trabajo remunerado en México necesitan un "permiso de trabajo", que es solicitado por el empleador ante el INAMI (Instituto Nacional de Migración) en México. Una vez que haya recibido el número de autorización (número NUT), tiene 30 días para concertar una cita ante la Embajada. 

Una vez que haya recibido el permiso de trabajo de su empleador, siga el procedimiento descrito a continuación:

1) envíe el número NUT por correo electrónico, una copia de la primera página de su pasaporte y su certificado de nacimiento (Esta dirección de correo electrónico está siendo protegida contra los robots de spam. Necesita tener JavaScript habilitado para poder verlo.). 

2) Genere una cuenta y solicite una cita conforme a la disponibilidad del calendario en el siguiente sitio web: https://citas.sre.gob.mx/ 

Favor de traer los siguientes documentos el día de su cita:

  • Formulario de solicitud completo (actualmente sólo disponible en inglés).
  • Copia del pasaporte con los datos personales. El pasaporte debe tener una validez mínima de seis meses antes de la emisión del visado. En el caso de no tener nacionalidad suiza se debe adjuntar una copia del permiso de residencia suizo.
  • Una foto reciente tamaño pasaporte (no adjuntar la foto a la solicitud). La foto debe tomarse de frente, sin gafas y sobre un fondo blanco. Por favor, asegúrese de que su la foto sea completamente visible y frontal.
  • Carta de invitación de la empresa en México en español, indicando su actividad en México, el destino y la duración de su estancia.
  • Entrevista exitosa el día de la cita.

Todos los viajeros que permanezcan más de 180 días en México deben solicitar un visado de residencia, independientemente de su nacionalidad. Para solicitar este tipo de visado, debe enviar por correo postal a la Embajada (Weltpoststrasse 20, CH-3015 Berna) copia de los siguientes documentos, mismos que deberá presentar en original el día de su cita.

  • Formulario de solicitud completo (actualmente sólo disponible en inglés).

       a) Copia de las nóminas de su pensión de los últimos 6 meses que confirmen al menos 6'380,00 CHF de ingresos mensuales (pago de pensión). Los documentos originales deben ser presentados el día de la entrevista

       b) Copia de sus extractos de cuenta de los últimos 12 meses, en los que se confirme un saldo (ahorrado) mensual de al menos 255'060,00 CHF.

En caso de no presentar los documentos como se mencionan en los requisitos, su solicitud no procederá y la visa será negada

Facilités d'immigration

Un visa mexicain n'est pas nécessaire pour le tourisme, le transit ou une activité non rémunérée avec un séjour de moins de 180 jours, à condition que la personne ait un visa à entrées multiples valable ou un permis de résidence permanente de l'un des pays suivants :

Les États-Unis, Canada, Japon, Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande du Nord et pays de l'espace Schengen.

En Suisse, l’équivalent d’un permis de séjour permanent est un permis de type « C », les personnes possédant ce type de permis n’ont donc pas besoin de visa pour se rendre au Mexique. En revanche, les titulaires d’un permis de séjour suisse de type « B », dont la nationalité nécessite un visa, doivent en faire la demande à l’ambassade.

NOTE : En raison de l'absence de relations diplomatiques entre le Mexique et le Kosovo, les citoyens kosovars ne peuvent pas se rendre au Mexique pour le moment.

 

Visas électroniques pour les ressortissants russes, turcs et ukrainiens

Les ressortissants de la Russie, de la Turquie ou de l'Ukraine qui n'entrent pas dans les catégories susmentionnées peuvent demander un visa électronique en utilisant le lien suivant : https://www.inm.gob.mx/sae/publico/solicitud.html.

 

ATTENTION : si vous vous rendez au Mexique avec un permis électronique (SAE), veuillez d'abord vérifier si la compagnie aérienne avec laquelle vous voyagez accepte le SAE. Si, pour une raison quelconque, la compagnie aérienne ne peut pas vérifier votre SAE lors de l'enregistrement, votre embarquement ne sera pas autorisé.

 

Comment demander un visa ?

À partir de janvier 2024, les demandes de visa pour des activités non rémunérées (tourisme, affaires, transit, entre autres) d'une durée maximale de 180 jours pourront être effectuées exclusivement sur le site https://citas.sre.gob.mx/. Si votre séjour au Mexique dépasse cette période, veuillez consulter la procédure de demande dans la section correspondante.

Avant de demander un rendez-vous sur le site web susmentionné, assurez-vous d'avoir rempli toutes les conditions énumérées ci-dessous.

 

Documents nécessaires à l'obtention d'un visa auprès de l'ambassade du Mexique à Berne :

 I. Les documents suivants sont requis pour la délivrance d'un visa et doivent être présentés en original à la date de votre rendez-vous : 

  1. Le formulaire de demande dûment rempli (actuellement disponible uniquement en anglais).
  2. Copie du passeport, qui doit être valable au moins six mois avant la délivrance du visa.
  3. Permis de séjour suisse, pour les étrangers qui n'ont pas la nationalité suisse.
  4. Une photo d'identité récente. La photo doit être prise de face, sans lunettes et sur fond blanc.
  5. Des justificatifs prouvant votre situation financière, soit :

a) Les fiches de paie des 3 derniers mois attestant d'un revenu mensuel d'au moins CHF 1'260.00, accompagnées d'une preuve d'emploi d'au moins un an, délivrée par votre employeur, soit;

b) Relevés bancaires des trois derniers mois, attestant d'un solde mensuel moyen d'au moins CHF 3'770.00.

Si le demandeur du visa est économiquement dépendant (mineur ou conjoint) : original et copie du passeport de la personne qui apporte la preuve de la solvabilité économique ; original et copie du document qui accrédite le lien avec la personne qui apporte la preuve de la solvabilité économique :

  • Conjoint : original de l'acte de mariage ou de la preuve de concubinage ou d'un document équivalent délivré par l'autorité compétente.
  • Enfants : original de l'acte de naissance du demandeur (le visa ne sera délivré que si le demandeur est âgé de moins de 18 ans, s'il n'est pas marié ou s'il se trouve en état d'interdiction et sous tutelle légale).

Dans le cas où vous ne présentez pas les documents mentionnés dans les conditions requises, votre demande sera rejetée et votre visa sera refusé.

II. Un entretien au consulat le jour de votre rendez-vous. Tout entretien insatisfaisant donnera lieu à un rejet de votre demande.

III. Couvrir les coûts du visa, qui sont payables en espèces le jour de votre rendez-vous (voir les frais consulaires) :

NOTE : Les frais de visa sont appliqués dès réception de la demande et de l'entretien consulaire, indépendamment de la délivrance ou du refus du visa. Les frais pour les visas refusés ne sont pas remboursables.

IMPORTANT :

Le visa est valable pour une durée de 180 jours à compter de sa délivrance et pour des entrées multiples.

Si le demandeur est mineur, les deux parents doivent être présents pour signer la demande de visa. Si un seul parent est présent avec le mineur, le parent qui ne soit pas présent doit présenter une autorisation notariée en anglais ou en espagnol autorisant son enfant à obtenir le visa.

Les documents qui ne sont pas délivrés en Suisse ou au Mexique doivent être apostillés par les autorités du pays de délivrance et, le cas échéant, être accompagnés d'une traduction officielle en espagnol ou en anglais. Si les documents ne sont pas apostillés ou traduits, la demande ne sera pas traitée.

Les documents délivrés dans des pays qui ne sont pas signataires de la Convention Apostille (voir liste) doivent être légalisés par l'ambassade ou le consulat du Mexique dans le pays de délivrance du document.

Conformément à la pratique internationale, le fait d'être titulaire d'un visa ne garantit pas l'entrée au Mexique. Le visa vous autorise à vous rendre au Mexique, cependant l'entrée dans le pays est exclusivement accordée par les autorités migratoires mexicaines à l'arrivée.

Si vous avez besoin d'un visa pour visiter le Mexique, il est recommandé d'acheter vos billets d'avion après avoir obtenu votre visa.
