Ambassador Agustin Gutierrez Canet donated to the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest, a portrait of the romanian philosopher Emil Cioran taken by the photographer Rogelio Cuellar, with the agreement of the autor.
At the ceremony attended Mircea Dumitru, Rector of the University of Bucharest; Romulus Brancoveanu, Director of the Faculty and more than 50 students.
The Ambassador reiterated the importance of the cultural links between Mexico and Romania, that were highlighted in the last exhibition at the National Library when it was visited by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Culture.
As a symbol of gratitude for the donation made to the Faculty of Philosophy, the Rector proposed that the reading room, where the photography will be permanently exhibited, be named Emil Cioran.
