Family Reunification

The main applicant is the person who already holds a Temporary/Permanent Resident Visa or Card. The main applicant must accompany the dependants during the visa application procedure.

IMPORTANT: If the main applicant is already in Mexico, he/she must submit the application before the National Immigration Institute (INM) in Mexico. Please contact the local INM office for more details www.inm.gob.mx

All required documents must reflect complete name as shown in passport.

 

Requirements for spouse:

  1. Original passport valid for at least six months and photocopy of the first page.
  2. Proof of legal stay in Romania (Visa/Residence card) in case the applicant holds another nationality.
  3. Application form duly filled - Click here (print on both sides)
  4. One recent passport-sized photograph (4.5 CM X 3.5 CM), white background, without glasses. Face should cover 80% of the photo.
  5. Original and photocopy of marriage certificate duly apostilled.
  6. Photocopy of the Temporary Resident Visa or Card of the main applicant.
  7. Photocopy of the passport of the main applicant.
  8. Employment letter and salary slips (last 6 months) of the main applicant, or
  9. Main applicant's original bank statement (last 12 months).
  10. Visa fee: check "TARIFAS" (US Dollars).

Requirements for children:

  1. Original passport valid for at least six months and photocopy of the first page.
  2. Proof of legal stay in Romania (Visa/Residence card) in case the applicant holds another nationality.
  3. Application form duly filled (printed in one page, double sided). (Download here).
  4. One recent passport-sized photograph (4.5 CM X 3.5 CM), white background, without glasses. Face should cover 80% of the photo.
  5. Original and photocopy of the birth certificate duly apostilled.
  6. Original parents' passport and photocopy of the first page.
  7. Photocopy of the Temporary Resident Visa or Card of the main applicant.
  8. Employment letter and salary slips (last 6 months) of the main applicant, or
  9. Main applicant's original bank statement (last 12 months).
  10. Visa fee: check "Tarifas". (The payment is in US Dollars, cash).

NOTE:

  • Personal presence of the applicant is mandatory for biometric process and interview.
  • The Consular Section may request further forms of proof depending on each case.
  • Having a Mexican visa gives the possibility to travel to the country, but the entry to Mexican territory is subject to the final decision of the Immigration and Health Authorities in the country.

Processing time: One hour after handing in the aforementioned documentation, in a complete and satisfactory manner.

 

Procedure: The person interested must apply for an appointment through Mi Consulado for a visa.

IMPORTANT: Documents that are not in either Spanish or English need to be accompanied by a certified translation into Spanish. Furthermore, any official documents that are not issued by Romanian authorities need to be legalized.
