Work Visa (INM Authorization required)

If the applicant will be hired by a Mexican company or institution and will receive their wages in Mexico, the company or institution must submit the application before the local office of the National Immigration Institute (INM) in Mexico, www.inm.gob.mx.

Once the applicant has this authorization, he/she needs to submit the following documents:

  1. Valid passport (for at least six months) and photocopy of the pages where the personal details and holder's photograph are found.
  2. Proof of legal stay in Romania (Visa, Residence card, passport with Romanian immigration entry stamp) in case the applicant holds another nationality.
  3. Application form duly filled - Click here (printed on both sides).
  4. Copy of the authorization from the National Immigration Institute (INM).
  5. Invitation letter/employment letter from the Mexican employer.
  6. One recent passport-sized photograph (4.5 CM X 3.5 CM), white background, without glasses. The face should cover 80% of the photo.
  7. Payment of consular fees: check "TARIFAS". The paymeny is in US Dollars, cash and the exact amount, payable to the Mexican Consulate. A receipt will be issued accordingly

Processing time: One hour after handing in the aforementioned documentation, in a complete and satisfactory manner.

Procedure: The person interested must apply for an appointment through Mi Consualdo for a visa.

NOTE:

This is a single-entry visa and will allow the applicants to enter the country to exchange it for a Temporary Resident Card within 30 days upon their arrival at the nearest migration office (INM). The temporary resident card will be valid for one year and multiple entries.

The Consular Section may request further forms of proof depending on each case.

We strongly advise NOT to make any travel arrangements until a decision on your visa has been made. The embassy will not take any responsibility for any plane tickets purchased before your visa has been approved.

All visas are processed at the Mexican Embassy in Bucharest (18 Herastrau St, sector 1, Bucharest, Romania, tel: +4 021 210 47 28 or +4 021 210 45 77). The physical presence of the applicant at the Embassy is an absolute requirement for the biometric process and interview.

Having a Mexican visa gives the possibility to travel to the country, but the entry to Mexican territory is subject to the final decision of the Immigration and Health Authorities in the country.
