Visitor Visa without permission to engage in remunerated activities

Multiple entry visa valid for 180 days.

 

You will be able to apply for this visa if you:

  • Are traveling to Mexico for truism, business, transit, artistic activates or any other unpaid activity.
  • You will be in Mexico for up to 180 days.
  • This visa does not allow you to work in Mexico.

  Requirements:

1) Visa application, printed on one page, double sided, properly completed and
signed.
2) Valid passport or travel document.
3) One recent color photo (3.0 x 3.5 cm), front view, with white
background, without glasses and/or piercing.
4) Document proving the applicant’s valid legal status in Norway if the applicant
is not a Norwegian citizen.
5) Consular fee, if applicable.
6) Official documents proving any of the following situations:


 a) Proof of long-term residency in Norway (“Arraigo”)

  • Original and copy of property deed duly registered in the name of the applicant and a letter from his/her employer stating position and length of employment or:
  • Original and copy of property deed duly registered in the name of the applicant and official document proving total or partial ownership of a business issued by the competent authorities.


b) Economic solvency

  • Original and copy of documents confirming employment or pension with a monthly income during the last three months and an official letter from his/her employer stating position and length of employment, or
  • Original and copy of investment documents or bank account statements for the last three months, or
  • Foreigners who are full time students (graduate or postgraduate studies) must present proof of enrollment (official letter from the university, duly stamped and signed) and proof of monthly income (salary, pension or scholarship) during the last three months.


c) Studies in Mexico 

  • Original and copy of the letter of acceptance from an institution belonging to the National Education System for courses, studies or research project with a duration of less than 180 days. The letter should contain the following information:


- Applicant’s full name an nationality,
- Level, degree and area of studies the applicant will enroll in,
- Name of the courses, starting and completion dates, and cost,

- Name, registration number and address of the school or institution belonging to the National Education System, and
    

  • Economic solvency to cover school tuition and living expenses during the applicant’s stay in Mexico, which can be proven with:

-Original and copy of investment documents or bank account statements for the last three months, or


-Original and copy of documents showing that the petitionary has income for salary, pension or scholarship during the last three months.


Note: Economic solvency may be proven by the applicant or by his/her parents, guardians, spouse, cohabitants or with a letter from the institution where the applicant will study, confirming that s/he has been awarded a scholarship or a letter from a financial institution confirming the grant.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

 

This visa is for foreigners who wish to enter Mexico to engage in nonremunerated activities (Tourism, transit, business, studies, journalism, technical assistance, etc.) for a period not exceeding 180 days.

The Consular Section of the Embassy of Mexico in Norway works by appointment only.

Having a Mexican visa gives the possibility to travel to the country, but the entry to Mexican territory is subjects to the final decision of the Immigration and Health Authorities in the country.
