You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to book an appointment. Once you have your appointment, access to the Consular Section will be given exclusively to the applicant. In cases of temporary visa applications for family reunification, the Mexican national or foreign national who holds a temporary permanent residence card or holds a temporary or permanent residence visa must appear with the applicant. In cases of visa application for minors, both parents must accompany them at the moment to hand in the visa application.
IMPORTANT: All procedures and services offered by the Consular Section are individual. NO procedures are carried out through intermediaries. Please read carefully the following information before booking an appointment:
General Information
- If you are a Permanent Resident or you have a valid multiple entries visa from one of the following countries: Canada, United States, Japan, United Kingdom, or any of the countries of the Schengen Area, you do not need to apply for a visa to visit Mexico for tourism, business or transit purposes.
- Foreign nationals regardless of their nationality who intend to visit Mexico through maritime ports as passengers in tourism cruises do not require a visa.
- All procedures and services offered by the Consular Section are personal, NO procedures are carried out through intermediaries.

b)Payment slips of the last six months and a letter from your employer* stating that you’ve been working for that company for at least one year. You must also bring bank statements showing the salary transfer into your account. Foreign nationals exempted from visa to travel to Mexico as non-lucrative visitors (tourism, business visitor, in transit, correspondent, studies, medical treatment) for stay up to 180 days:
1. Saudi, Omani, Yemeni, and Bahreini passport holders and those from the countries mentioned in the list published on the Migration National Institute or listed below do not require a visa to travel to Mexico as non-lucrative visitors:
Argentina, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Bermuda (UK), Bolivia, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Curacao (The Netherlands), Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Guadalupe (France), Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary Iceland, Irlanda, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lichenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Macao, Malaysia, Malta, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Monaco, The Netherland Antilles, New Zealand, Norway, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, The Bahamas, The Netherlands, The United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Virgin Islands (USA), Uruguay.
These regulations are also applied to Saudi, Omani, Yemeni, and Bahreini citizens of Saudi, Oman, Yemen and Bahrein Territory, Bermuda, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey, Montserrat, Isle of Man, St Helena and Dependencies (Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha), Turk and Caicos Islands, Pitcairn Island, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, Sovereign Base Areas on Akrotiri and Dhekelia. In these cases, Saudi, Omani, Yemeni, and Bahreini passports state with respect to the holder as: "Overseas Saudi, Omani, Yemeni and Bahreini Citizen" or "Overseas Saudi, Omani, Yemeni and Bahreini subject".

2. Foreign nationals regardless of their nationality - exempt holders of Saudi, Oman, Yemen, and Bahrein travel documents holding a valid USA B1/B2 visa, UK C- visitor visa, Canadian visitor visa, Japanese visitor visa or Schengen C-visit visa stamped in a valid passport, provided that the visa is to be issued for multiple entries and continues to be valid during the intended period of stay in Mexico do not require visa to travel to Mexico as non-lucrative visitors.
This migratory regulation does not apply to temporary residents (BRP temporary resident card, including students, Tier 4, Tier 5, Skill Worker, Spouse visas) as they are required to apply for a Mexican visitor visa.
3. Permanent resident in Saudi Arabia (ILR / ILE / PERMANENT RESIDENTS). Proof of permanent residence in the country of Saudi Arabia.
If you are a Permanent Resident or you have a valid multiple entries visa from one of the following countries: Canada, United States, Japan, United Kingdom, or any of the countries of the Schengen Area, you do not need to apply for a visa to visit Mexico for tourism, business or transit purposes.
To enter the country visitors exempted from visa must fulfill the following requirements:
Original passport, valid for at least six months before expiration. Please make sure that your passport has at least one blank visa page to affix the visa.
One photocopy of your passport’s personal information page.
Original and one photocopy of Iqama or residence permit of Bahrein, Oman, or Yemen (it does not apply to nationals of Saudi Arabia, Bahrein, Oman, and Yemen).
One visa application form duly completed and signed. Please fill out the application form provided by the Embassy.
One recent passport-size photo (size (3.5 x 4.5 cm), in color, with face clearly visible, without glasses, and taken against a white background. Instant-photo machine or digital home-printed photos are not accepted.
Meet at least one of the following requirements to prove sufficient financial funds:
a)Bank statements for the last six months. If the bank statements were issued electronically, they must be printed by you and stamped by the issuing bank. If you have multiple bank accounts, please print and stamp the bank statements of all the accounts that will support your visa application. If you do not have a printed and stamped version of your statements, they will not be taken into consideration in the assessment process, even if you have electronic access to them.
* Proof of employment on letterhead from the issuing institution stating monthly salary, stipend, and/or scholarship. The letter must be authenticated by the Chamber of Commerce or an equivalent is needed.

Immigration authorities may request additional information such as reason of the trip, period of stay and domicile during your stay in Mexico, main destination, hotel accommodation, return ticket, proof of financial means (international credit cards, debit cards, or traveller's cheques).
The immigration officer will stamp the FMM card upon arrival (land only). Please keep it in a safe place and do not lose it. You will be asked for this document upon your departure from Mexico.
When your stay in Mexico is different from tourism, additional documentation may be required by immigration authorities.
If you are granted a Mexican visa you will be able to travel to Mexico. It does not guarantee entry to the country.
As in all countries, Mexican immigration authorities will verify the authenticity of all the documents you present and the truthfulness of the information you provide.
They will also confirm that no outright restriction exists. The reasons for your trip must match your visa type.
In some cases, immigration authorities may ask you for information: about your habitual residence or country of origin and require documents that allow verifying that information; activities (work) you carry out in your country or place of origin, and those you will carry out in Mexico.
If you come at the invitation of a person moral/legal or physical, the immigration authority may require their complete contact details: full name, mobile phone, address, email, and place of work.
If you are going to participate in any event such as a conference, or international meetings, it is recommended to bring the corresponding invitation and agenda.
If you intend to stay for less than 180 days as a business visitor to provide services to a company in Mexico without receiving remuneration from the Mexican company, please be aware that the immigration authority at the port of entry may also require:
Mandate letter in Spanish from the parent company, affiliate, or foreign subsidiary that indicates that the foreign person is an employee of it and that the payment of the services that will be provided in the national territory will be paid by it.
If you intend to stay for less than 180 days as a technical or business visitor to provide services to a company in Mexico without receiving remuneration from the Mexican company, please be aware that the immigration authority at the port of entry may also require:
Copy of the contract for the transfer of technology, patents, and trademarks, for the purchase and sale of machinery and equipment, for the technical training of personnel, or any other contract related to the production process of a company established in Mexico or that links the foreign party with the Mexican part, or proof of appointment by the shareholders' meeting of companies legally established in Mexico.
If you intend to stay for less than 180 days for studies, without receiving remuneration in Mexico, please be aware that the immigration authority at the port of entry may also require:
Letter of invitation or acceptance from an institution belonging to the National Educational System to carry out courses, studies, research, or training projects for a maximum period of one hundred and eighty days.
If you intend to stay for less than 180 days to participate in an unpaid project or activity in Mexico invited by a public or private organization or institution located in Mexico, please be aware that the immigration authority at the port of entry may also require:
Original letter from a public or private organization or institution that invites the foreign person to participate in an unpaid event or activity in Mexico, stating the purpose of the visit and the estimated length of stay. If the organization or institution bears the travel and permanence expenses of the foreign person in the national territory, a commitment letter will be required.
The Mexican immigration authorities have the faculty to grant or deny entry into Mexico if the visitor does not fully comply with the migratory regulations.

e) humanitarian cause: g) studies: 2. Financial means to cover the amount of tuition accommodation and maintenance expenses during your stay in Mexico. The following documentation is required: ii. Original and copy of the documents that show that you have a job, pension, or scholarship with monthly income free of liens greater than the equivalent of one hundred days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City, during the last three months. 2. The last three-month pay slips or pension receipts and the bank statements where the income is deposited monthly. 1. Original of the letter from the agency or autonomous constitutional body that invites the foreign person to participate in an event derived from international commitments contracted by the Mexican State for the celebration of events. The letter must contain the following information: Payment of consular fee (Visa) via bank transfer to the Mexican Consulate on the day of the appointment to receive and to process the application, in accordance with the Federal Act of Fees. It also covers the issuance of the visa, if the visa is authorized. a)Bank statements for the last six months. This visa is issued to foreign nationals who wish to enter Mexico for tourism, business, technical activities, studies, medical treatment, in transit, among others, as the passport's holder nationality is not exempted from the visitor visa.
This visa does not allow lucrative activities (work permit).
The visa is issued for up to 180 days for multiple entries.
To apply for a visitor visa at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Mexico in Saudi Arabia, the applicant must have at least temporary residence in Saudi, Oman, Yemen, or Bahrein country. Requirements:
1. A valid passport from the intended date of entry to Mexico with at least one blank page. It is also required to present passport photocopies of the pages containing the holder's photograph and personal details.
2. Fill in the visa application form
3. One Saudi, Omani, Yemeni, or Bahreini size passport photograph (it must be in color, with the face visible without glasses, white background, and be taken within the last month).
4. Proof of being a temporary resident in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, or Bahrein country. A photocopy of the Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, or Bahrein country visa or residence permit is required. Photocopy of visa to another country in the American continent (if applicable).
5. Accreditation of any of the following premises: a), b), c), e), f), g) or h)
a) Roots in the country where you have residence
1. Original and copy of the real estate deed duly registered in the name of the visa applicant and proof of stable employment for a minimum of two years, OR
2. Original and copy of the real estate deed duly registered in the name of the visa applicant and a document that proves ownership or participation in business issued by the competent authorities for a minimum age of two years.
b) financial means
1. Original and copy of the documents that demonstrate that you have a job or pension with monthly tax-free income higher than the equivalent of one hundred days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City, during the last three months, and proof of stable employment with a minimum of one year, OR
2. Original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts with an average monthly balance equivalent to three hundred days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City during the last three months, OR
3. In the case of foreign nationals who study regularly in higher education institutions, they must present an original proof of studies and an original proof of stable employment, pension, or scholarship with monthly income equivalent to sixty days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City during the last three months.
Remarks:
With respect sections 1) and 3) as applicable it is required: a) an original headed letter from the company where the applicant works, stating his/her salary or an original letter from the institution that grants the pension or scholarship to the applicant and b) the last three-month pay slips or pension receipts and the bank's statements where the income is deposited monthly.
Regarding section 2), it is required to submit certified bank statements.
c) Invitation from a public or private organization or institution located in Mexico
1. Original of the commitment letter from a public or private organization or institution that invites the foreign person to participate in an unpaid event or activity in Mexico.
The letter must contain the following information:
Applicant’s full name and nationality; official registration number and name of the organization or institution, its objectives and its full address; information about the activity to be carried out by the foreign person or the project in which he/she will participate, which must be related to the goals of organization or institution; estimated duration or approximate date of completion of the activity; the commitment of the organization or institution to take care of the maintenance of the foreign person during his/her stay in Mexico and his/her return to his/her country of origin or residence; and attachment of a copy of an official identification with signature and photograph of the person who signs the commitment letter.
2. To prove that the organization or institution has the resources (economic solvency) to fulfill the obligation above referred, it will present an original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts with an average monthly balance equivalent to one thousand days of current minimum wage for the Federal District, during the last twelve months.
Public and private institutions belonging to the Mexican National Educational System do not require proof of economic solvency.
3. Original and copy of the documents to prove that the foreign person has experience, capacity, skills, or knowledge to carry out the activity for which he/she is invited.
Ministers of worship or religious associates requesting a visa must submit a commitment letter issued by a religious association. If they present consent issued by the Ministry of the Interior, in terms of article 18 of the Regulations of the Law on Religious Associations and Public Worship, numerals 2 and 3 will be exempt from compliance with the established requirements.
d) Driver or cargo transport operator who intends to enter the national territory for the sole purpose of loading or unloading merchandise:
1. Original and copy of the valid and current driver's license, which authorizes the foreign person to drive freight transport in accordance with the local regulations in force.
2. Original of the letterhead of the transport company or association to which he/she belongs, addressed to the consular authority, requesting the Mexican visa in favor of the foreign person comprising the type of merchandise transported, the most frequent routes and that the foreign person has the necessary financial resources to pay for he/she stay in Mexico. The letter must also contain:
1. Seriou’s health condition as foreign national in Mexico:
If the applicant is a spouse or unmarried partner of a foreign person who suffers from a serious health condition in Mexico, he/she must present an original copy of his/her marriage certificate or equivalent document issued by a competent authority in accordance with the applicable legislation.
If the applicant is the son of a foreign person who suffers a serious health condition in Mexico, he/she must present an original end copy of his/her birth certificate.
If the applicant has a foreign child who suffers from a serious health condition in Mexico, he/she must present an original and copy of the child´s birth certificate.
Original of the document that certifies the serious health condition of the foreign person in Mexico issued by a public or private health institution in Mexico, with an issue date of no more than 30 calendar days that irrefutably proves that the foreign person who is in Mexico requires the support of his/her family.
2. Recognition or recovery of corpse:
If the applicant is a spouse or unmarried partner of the foreign person who died in Mexico, whose intervention is required for the recognition or recovery of the corpse, he/she must present the original and copy of his/her marriage certificate or equivalent document issued by a competent authority in accordance with the applicable legislation.
If the applicant is the son or daughter of a foreign person who died in Mexico, he/she must present an original copy of his/her birth certificate.
If the applicant is a father or mother of the foreign person who died in Mexico, he/she must present an original and copy of the birth certificate of his son o daughter.
Original of the document stating that the applicant has been notified that his/her intervention is required for the examination or recovery of the corpse issued by a competent authority or a federal, state, or municipal public institution.
3. For public interest:
Request from a dependency or entity of the federal, state, or municipal Public Administration for public interest to carry out, lead, coordinate or support relief or rescue actions in emergency or disaster situations in Mexico.
f) Scientific research or collection of samples in national territory or jurisdictional waters of Mexico, after obtaining the authorizations of the competent national authorities in waters of territorial jurisdiction:
1. When a foreign person wishes to enter Mexico to participate in scientific research and/or sample collection projects in the national territory or jurisdictional waters of Mexico, he/she must present a copy of the communication in which his/her Diplomatic Mission in Mexico notifies him/her that the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the corresponding authorizations for the abovementioned activities from the competent national authorities. The communication must contain the following information:
1. Original and copy of the letter of acceptance from an institution belonging to the National Educational System to carry out courses, studies research projects, or academic or professional training for a period of less than 180 days.
The institution's letterhead must contain:
i. Original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts with an average monthly balance equivalent to one hundred and fifty days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City, during the last three months, or
Remarks:
With respect to section i), it is required to submit certified bank statements.
Regarding section ii), as applicable it is required:
1. Original headed letter from the company where the applicant works, stating his/her salary, or original letter from the institution that grants the pension or scholarship to the applicant.
Solvency may be accredited by the applicant, by his/her parents, by his/her spouse, concubine or concubinage or equivalent figure; or by whoever exercises parental authority or guardianship, or with a letter from the educational institution that proves that they have been the beneficiary of a scholarship or document from a banking or financial institution that proves that they have the financing.
h) Participation in an event organized or sponsored by the Federal Public Administration or by autonomous constitutional bodies.
In the case of visa refusal, the payment made will not be reimbursed. It is suggested that before submitting your application, check that your documentation is complete.
Please do not forget to bring copies of the documentation requested as if you do not so this will delay your application. There is no photocopier service at the Consulate. You will need to leave the premises to obtain the copies and you will queue again to present your application.
It is advisable not to book or buy flight tickets to Mexico if you have not been notified about the authorization of the issuance of your visa.
The submission of a flight ticket is not a visa requirement, so it does not accelerate the processing time of a visa.
Documents issued outside Mexico or Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen or Bahrein country for visa application acceptance must be apostilled.

2. By mail, under the responsibility of the applicant. It is necessary to hand in an envelope "Special Delivery", containing the name, address, and postal code.

Lucrative visitor visa authorized by the Migration National Institute
A foreign national who holds an entry permit (known as NUT) for remunerative work (lucrative activities) in Mexico issued by the Migration National Institute (INM) in Mexico, for a stay of up to six months, is required to apply for a Lucrative Visitor Visa within 30 days after receiving the notification of the official letter from the INM.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. the term established in the INM official letter that the visa applicant has to contact the Embassy or Consulate to carry out the interview is interrupted.
The visa issued at the consular office is valid for up to 180 days for multiple entries.

Requirements:
1. Valid passport and photocopy of the pages where the personal details and holder's photograph are found.
2. Visa application form. It is recommended to fill in the application in Microsoft Word.
3. One photograph passport size (it must be in color, with the face clearly visible without glasses, white background, and be taken within the last month).
4. Proof of being a temporary resident in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, or Bahrein country, only in cases when the foreign national is not a Saudi, Omani, Yemeni, or Bahreini national, in this case, a photocopy of the Saudi, Omani, Yemeni or Bahreini visa or residence permit is required.
5. A copy of the official letter (NUT) of the INM that authorizes the work permit or entry permit.
6. Payment of consular fee (Visa) via bank transfer to the Mexican Consulate on the day of the appointment in order to receive and to process the application, in accordance with the Federal Act of Fees. It also covers the issuance of the visa, if the visa is authorized.
In case of visa authorization, the migratory service (work visitor) corresponding to the condition of lucrative visitor must also be covered.
In the case of visa refusal, the payment made will not be reimbursed. It is suggested that before submitting your application, check that your documentation is complete.
Processing time: From two up to 10 working days after handing in the aforementioned documentation, in a complete and satisfactory manner.
It is advisable not to book or buy flight tickets to Mexico if you have not been notified about the authorization of the issuance of your visa.
The submission of flight ticket is not a visa requirement, so it does not accelerate the processing time of a visa.
Nota Bene:
In the event that the applicant does not meet the applicable requirements, the consular office requests reconsideration of the authorization from the INM within 5 business days following the day on which the corresponding interview was held, which will be reported to the applicant.
The INM will proceed to analyze the interview report and determine what is appropriate within a period not exceeding 7 business days in terms of article 41 of the Law.
The visa will be issued exclusively when the INM issues the definitive resolution to that reconsideration and it has been officially communicated to the consular office.
In the event that any data contained in the Unique Procedure Number (NUT) does not coincide with that reflected in the passport of the visa applicant or that the applicant presents another passport than the one mentioned in the INM official letter, the procedure must be cancelled. The interested party must inform their promoter about this situation so that they can go to the office of the National Migration Institute that authorized the NUT, in order to issue a new NUT and another visa authorization letter.
Visa delivery:
Visas can be collected at the Consular Section, or by mail, under responsibility of the applicant. It is necessary to hand in an envelope "Special Delivery", containing name, address and postal code.
Entry permits at the Migration National Institute
In cases of foreign nationals who plan to enter Mexico to perform lucrative activities, the application for the entry permit is made directly before the National Institute of Immigration by the Mexican party interested in the stay of the foreign national. Foreign artists hired to perform presentations in Mexico as well as foreign nationals hired to work in Mexico request an entry permit from the INM". (The process in Mexico can take approximately 30 days)
Temporary resident Visa section
Saudi, Omani, Yemeni or Bahreini nationals and other foreign nationals who plan to stay in Mexico for more than six months up to one year, without the purpose to perform lucrative activities or to receive remuneration in Mexico, living off their own financial means, they are required to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa by economic solvency. 6. Payment of consular fee (Visa) via bank transfer to the Mexican Consulate on the day of the appointment in order to receive and to process the application, in accordance with the Federal Act of Fees. It also covers the issuance of the visa, if the visa is authorized. 1. In order to obtain the Temporary Resident Card, the applicant must apply before the National Institute of Migration and pay the migratory fees in Mexican pesos. 2. When a foreign national has been invited by a Mexican company/Institution to perform lucrative activities (work permit), the Mexican company/institution must request the work permit at the National Migration Institute in Mexico: https://www.gob.mx/inm 3. Documents issued outside Mexico or the Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen or Bahrein country for visa application acceptance must be apostilled (legalized if the State where the document issued is not party to the Hague Convention on Apostille).

This is visa suitable for transfer of personnel from the Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen or Bahrein country to Mexico who are going to receive their salary form the Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen or Bahrein country, pensioner or rentier.
The visa issued at the Consular Office is a single-entry visa, valid up to 180 days and will allow his/her holder to enter Mexico to exchange it for a Temporary Resident Card within 30 days upon his/her arrival in Mexico at the nearest migration office (INM). The Temporary Resident Card will be valid for one year and multiple entries.

Requirements:
1. Valid passport and photocopy of the pages where the personal details and holder's photograph are found.
2. Visa application. it is recommended to fill in the application in Microsoft Word.
3. One Saudi, Omani, Yemeni or Bahreini size passport photograph (it must be in colour, with the face clearly visible without glasses, white background and be taken within the last month).
4. Proof of being a temporary resident in the Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen or Bahrein country, only in cases when the foreign national is not a Saudi, Omani, Yemeni or Bahreini national, in this case a photocopy of the Saudi, Omani, Yemeni or Bahreini visa or residence permit is required.
5. Submit documentation to prove your economic solvency:
a) Original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts with average monthly balance equivalent to five thousand days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City, during the last twelve months or
b) Original and copy of the documents that prove that you have stable employment or pension with monthly income free of taxes greater than the equivalent of three hundred days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City, during the last six months.

With respect section a), it is required to submit certified bank statements.

In the case of visa refusal, the payment made will not be reimbursed. It is suggested that before submitting your application, check that your documentation is complete.

Submit documentation to prove your economic solvency: a) Deed or policy of the Mexican legal person granted before a Notary Public, or a document duly certified by the administration body or competent official thereof, stating that the foreign person participates in the capital stock of said Mexican legal person, and that the amount of his/her investment exceeds twenty thousand days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City, which may be accredited, but not limited to, by means of an original and copy of contract for the sale of shares or social parts, contract of transmission of goods or rights in favour of the Mexican legal entity or document issued by the latter that proves the amount contributed in the capital stock; and b) Original and copy of document that certifies the ownership of movable property or fixed assets in favour of the foreign entity, used for economic or business purposes, with a value that exceeds twenty thousand days of general minimum wage in force in Mexico City; or c) Original and copy of documentation that proves the development of economic or business activities in Mexico, which may be accredited, including but not limited to, with contracts, service orders, invoices, receipts, business plans, licenses or permits, or proof issued by the Institute Mexican Social Security document certifying that the foreign legal entity is the employer of at least three workers. 6. Payment of consular fee (Visa) via bank transfer to the Mexican Consulate on the day of the appointment in order to receive and to process the application, in accordance with the Federal Act of Fees. In order to prove that the organization or institution has the resources (economic solvency) to fulfil the obligation above referred, it will present original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts with an average monthly balance equivalent to ten thousand days of current minimum wage In Mexico City, during the last twelve months. Public and private institutions belonging to the Mexican National Educational System do not require proof of economic solvency. 7. Original and copy of the documents to prove that the foreign person has experience, capacity, skills or knowledge to carry out the activity for which he/she is invited. In the event that the inviting institution does not cover living expenses: a) Original and copy of proof of investments or bank accounts with an average monthly balance equivalent to five thousand days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City, during the last twelve months, or b) Original and copy of the documents that show that the visa applicant has a job or pension with monthly income free of liens greater than the equivalent of two hundred days of the general minimum wage in force in Mexico City during the last six months. Regarding section b), as applicable it is required: Ministers of worship or religious associates requesting a visa must submit a responsive letter issued by a religious association. In the event that they present consent issued by the Ministry of the Interior, in terms of article 18 of the Regulations of the Law on Religious Associations and Public Worship, numerals 2 and 3 will be exempt from compliance with the established requirements. In the event that the applicant does not meet the applicable requirements, the consular office requests reconsideration of the authorization from the INM within 5 business days following the day on which the corresponding interview was held, which will be reported to the applicant. The INM will proceed to analyse the interview report and determine what is appropriate within a period not exceeding 7 business days in terms of article 41 of the Law. The visa will be issued exclusively when the INM issues the definitive resolution to that reconsideration and it has been officially communicated to the consular office. In cases of foreign nationals who plan to enter Mexico to perform lucrative activities, the application for the entry permit is made directly before the Migration National Institute (INM) by the Mexican party (company) interested in the stay of the foreign national. IMPORTANT: If you are granted a Mexican visa you will be able to travel to Mexico. It does not guarantee entry to the country. At the point of entry, Mexican immigration authorities may ask you some questions to confirm the reasons you are traveling, the length of your stay in Mexico, and how you are financing your trip.
As in all countries, Mexican immigration authorities will verify the authenticity of all the documents you present and the truthfulness of the information you provide. They will also confirm that no outright restriction exists. The reasons for your trip must match your visa type.
