Requirements

  1. Application form duly filled - (Download).
  2. One passport-size color photograph, taken in a studio or photo booth, with face uncovered on a white background, printed on photo paper.
  3. For applicants who are not citizens of Sweden, Lithuania, or Latvia but reside in one of these countries, please submit a copy of your valid Swedish, Lithuanian, or Latvian residence permit. If you are a citizen of another EU member state, please provide a proof of registration issued by the local authorities. If you do not meet these criteria, please contact the Mexican Embassy nearest to your place of habitual residence.
  4. ORIGINAL of the acceptance letter form the Mexican school -registered in the Mexican National Education System- stating the personal details of the student, level/course to be performed in Mexico, length of stay, tuition fee and contact details of the school including the registration number. Identification of the signatory of the letter shall be attached.
  5. You can choose one (1) of these options to prove your economy solvency in Sweden, Lithuania or Latvia:
  1. ORIGINAL document stating that the student has a monthly fee/scholarship, excluding the tutiton fee. The document must be stamped and signed, other wise it must be notirized by a Public Notar in Sweden.


  1. ORIGINAL bank account statements from the past three (3) months. If the bank statements are from a financial institution outisde Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia or Mexico, they must be apostilled.


(Only for minors or young people under 25 years old).

Please note that the visa is valid for only six months. During this period, it must be exchanged in Mexico for a temporary residence card. We recommend applying 1 to 2 months before your planned move to Mexico.


  

After you submit your documents, the review process may take up to 10 days. Once the review is complete, we will contact you to schedule an appointment, depending on availability. Appointments are usually available within 3–4 weeks.

To avoid delays, we recommend applying at least 1–2 months before your planned trip.
