Traveling with pets

  • Coming from the USA or Canada?

Upon your arrival, your furry friend is subject to a physical inspection.

No health certificate or vaccination card needed.

  • Coming from any other country?

Upon your arrival, please notify an officer about your dog.

Personnel from SENASICA (National Agro-Alimentary Health, Safety and Quality Service) will inspect your dog and you shall present a Health Certificate, issued no more than 15 (fifteen) days with the following characteristics:

  • Issued by an official veterinary from the correspondent authority or from a private veterinary, printed in head paper with contact details, including his/her official registry number.
  • Name and address of the importer and arrival address in Mexico.
  • Date of the last rabies vaccination and validity. Dogs and cats under 3 months are exempted.
  • Internally and externally deworming against ectoparasites within the last 6 months before the trip.
