LONDON, United Kingdom, 11th march 2015. - In order to expand the presence of Mexico in the UK, the Government of Mexico will establish two Honorary Consulates in the cities of Cardiff, Wales, and Manchester, England, respectively.

The opening of these two new offices will strengthen the promotion of Mexico in the economic, commercial, cultural and touristic areas and will increase exchanges and cooperation in education, science and technology, mainly in the northern and western areas of the UK, where there is great potential for the development of strategic links with Mexico.

In his recent State Visit, the President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto had the opportunity to greet and thank the new Honorary Consuls for accepting this assignment and reiterated the importance of strengthening the bonds of friendship between Mexico and the UK.
