This summer, artist Pia Camil (Mexico City, 1980) is presenting her first solo exhibition in the UK. Graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design and the Slade School of Fine Art, Implementing playful architecture with textiles, ceramic masks and videos, the interactive yet socially critical installation aims to highlight the shortcomings of consumerism and globalization as well as its daily effects. |

Split Wall: Mexican artist Pia Camil at Nottingham Contemporary
