Mexican writer Oscar de Muriel will launch his new novel “The Loch of the Dead” on Wednesday 30th May at Hatchards Piccadilly.

Oscar was born in Mexico City and moved to the UK to complete his PhD. He is a chemist, translator and violinist who now lives and works in Manchester. This is his fourth novel, following the success of “A Mask of Shadows”, “A Fever of the Blood” and “The Strings of Murder”.

His characters, Frey & McGray return in this brand new crime novel that has been recently reviewed by the New York Times as 'A hugely entertaining Victorian mystery'.
