25 Anniversary

The most important independent film festival in the United Kingdom and Europe, Raindance Film Festival, is back from September 20 to October 1, celebrating its 25th Anniversary. The renowned festival offers a wide range of international programming, presenting feature films, short films and music videos from filmmakers around the world to a broad audience of film executives, journalists, fans and filmmakers.

Raindance Film Festival is officially recognised by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences USA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and the British Independent Film Awards.
Selected shorts will qualify for Oscar® and BAFTA considerations.
This year Mexican programming consists of 4 feature films and two short films of excellent quality.

You Are Killing Me Susana

You Are Killing Me Susana is the journey of a Mexico City native into the heart of the US, to a different culture and a frigid winter, but above all into his own soul to confront the contradictions between his macho idiosyncrasies and the love he feels for his woman.
Desperate to understand the sudden disappearance of his wife, Eligio (Gael García Bernal) travels to the US to find her. Finding her in a prestigious writing course, he tries to bring her home, however, Susana is not so willing to return.

Hermanos tells the story of two Mexican brothers, desperate to return to the US after being deported, and in parallel the story of an American woman who believes that she can get her house back through Trump’s promises.
