Following the tradition set up by Carlos Fuentes, mentor of the MexSocUK, the Symposium is an annual multidisciplinary forum that brings together talented students, early career researchers and scholars. Over the past 14 years, this forum has become the most important scholarly event in the U.K. for students and academics with research relating to Mexico. As well, the Symposium promotes an exchange of ideas and dialogue between Mexican students from related disciplines to foster networks of knowledge and investigation. This year’s slogan, “Make it Happen”, aims to promote collaborative work, innovative ideas and practical solutions that generate a significant positive impact on the scientific, social and political spheres in Mexico, and its role in the international community. The talks and presentations will be divided amongst the following categories: arts & humanities, health, sciences, social sciences, technology, and energy.
