A celebration of the new publication of Oscar de Muriel “A Mask of Shadows.”

     Edinburgh´s Royal Lyceum Theatre invites you to the launch of the book “A Mask of Shadows.” The novel is the third book of the Criminal series by Mexican author Oscar de Muriel, following his previous titles “A Fever of the Blood” and “The Strings of Murder.”

     De Muriel first moved to the UK to complete a PhD in Chemistry, during these years, he travelled several times to Edinburgh where he quickly realized that it was the perfect setting for crime and mystery.

     The novel develops in the 19th Century in the Scottish capital, and this time, the city is excited as the famous Shakespeare´s play “McBeth”, is due to arrive. The mystery narrative will follow the already known pair: detective McGrey, and inspector Frey, who will soon discover that everyone has reasons to kill or to die as “McBeth” will bring to the city more than just an entertainment act, but crime and disaster.
