The prestigious Mexican conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto presents a series of concerts in the UK, leading the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain (NYO). Prieto will perform on April 8th at the Leeds Town Hall and the following day he will make his London debut at the Barbican Centre.

     Nowadays, Prieto is recognised as a highly influential cultural leader as well as being the leading Mexican conductor of his generation. He is the Music Director of the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico (Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional), as well as the “Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería”, and artistic director of the Youth Orchestra of the Americas (YOA).

     His charismatic conducting style is characterised by its dynamism and the expressivity of his interpretations, leading him to major engagements and popular acclaim throughout North America and Europe.

     Prieto’s 2016-17 tour has also included performances throughout Europe, North America and Latin America.
