Nortec Collective is a musical collaboration formed in 1999 in the city of Tijuana, Baja California (Mexico). Their style is a fusion of electronica with the musical elements and instrumentation of Tambora and Norteño music, creating the nortec (“norteño” + “techno”) sound. Mexican music pioneers, they fuse the brassy Tijuana sound with 21st century technology, taking the traditional horns and accordion of Norteño and kicking it into a new level.

This year their members Bostich & Fussible will be performing at East London’s arts venue Rich Mix. Nortec has been very well received by the international music scene. The collective has participated in numerous festivals sharing the stage with artists like Beck, Lenny Kravitz, Kronos Quartet and Ennio Morricone. Among their awards, Bostich and Fusible had received several nominations for the Grammy Awards. They also produced the music for the latest Cirque Du Soleil show Luzia in 2016. They performed in Glastonbury Festival las year and their last two London shows were with Carlos Vives at The Royal Albert Hall in June 2016 and as part of the Mexican Wrestling extravaganza, Lucha Future, at the same venue in 2015.
