Born in Mexico City in 1979, Morgan Szymanski started playing the guitar at the age of six. He studied at the National Music School (Mexic), Edinburgh Music School and the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London, under the guidance of Carlos Bonell and Gary Ryan.

Positioned as one of the most distinguished exponents of classic guitar in Mexico, Szymanski has been a passionate ambassador of classic guitar repertoire of our country across the globe through the years.

The famous guitarist will perform at Instituto Cervantes as part of his UK tour.

In this concert, Szymanski will explore diverse facets of the Mexican guitar, ranging from the contemporary sounds of Julio César Oliva and his exuberant evocations of Mexican landscapes, to more cosmopolitan Works by Mexican-Italian composer, Simone Lannarelli, and, of course, an indispensable selection of lush, romantic songs by the seminal Mexican composer, Manuel M. Ponce, transcribed by Segovia.
