THE 31ST OF MAY THE II. SPANISH AND LATIN-AMERICAN FESTIVAL WAS HELD IN THE ÖTKERT BAR IN BUDAPEST ORGANIZED BY THE GRANADA LANGUAGE SCHOOL

The goal of the event was to provide opportunities to the Hungarian public to meet the Mexican culture through a wide range of programs. The Festival that lasted all day included Activities like the projection of the famous Mexican movie "The Golden Dream" (directed by Diego Quemada-Diez) in Spanish with Hungarian subtitles. The Mexican movie tells the story of some young Guatemalans and Tzotzils on their trip to the United States.

After the show of the Aztec dance group Ecoatl that reflected the origin and roots of the Mexican culture, Ágnes Deák, hispanicist, gave a presentation about Mexico that lasted about an hour and covered various aspects of the history, geography and astronomy of Mexico. At the end of the day, the Mexican pianist, resident in Hungary, Bautista Juan Pablo Cano gave an interesting lecture on the topic: "Colloquial expressions".

The number of participants of the event was about 244 people, including students, teachers and those who were interested in the Mexican culture and the Spanish language.
