Visitor Visa without Permission to Engage in Remunerated Activities
Applicable to foreign nationals intending to enter Mexico under the condition of stay as a visitor without permission to engage in remunerated activities, for a period of up to 180 days.
Requirements:
- Valid passport or identity and travel document in accordance with international law, in original;
II. Original document proving legal residence, if the foreign national is not a citizen of the country where the visa is being requested; and
III. Submission of documents proving any of the following circumstances:
a)Ties to the country of residence.
b) Economic solvency.
c) Invitation from a public or private organization or institution.
d) Driver or operator of freight transport intending to enter national territory solely for the purpose of loading or unloading goods.
e) Humanitarian reasons.
f) Scientific research or collection of samples in national territory or jurisdictional waters of the country, subject to prior authorization by the competent national authorities.
g) Studies.
h) Participation in an event sponsored by the Federal Public Administration or by autonomous constitutional bodies, for a maximum period of 180 days.

Applicable to foreign nationals with substantial economic solvency, frequent travelers, prominent persons, spouses, common-law partners or equivalent of a Mexican national or of a temporary or permanent resident, relatives of temporary or permanent residents, relatives of accredited diplomatic or consular officials in Mexico, as well as supervisors of foreign companies with subsidiaries in national territory or executive personnel of subsidiaries or commercial offices of Mexican companies abroad, who wish to enter Mexico under the condition of stay as visitors without permission to engage in remunerated activities and who do not intend to reside in national territory.
Requirements:
- Valid passport or identity and travel document in accordance with international law, in original.
II. Original document proving legal residence, if the foreign national is not a citizen of the country where the visa is requested.
III. Submission of documents proving any of the following circumstances:
a) Economic solvency.
b) Frequent traveler.
c) Prominent person.
d) Relative of a Mexican national.
e) Relative of a foreign national holding temporary or permanent residence.
f) Relative of an accredited diplomatic or consular officer in Mexico holding an ordinary passport.
g) Supervisor of a foreign company with a subsidiary in Mexico, or executive personnel of commercial offices or Mexican companies abroad.

Visitor Visa without Permission to Engage in Remunerated Activities (Electronic Visa)
Applicable to foreign nationals of those nationalities authorized by the Mexican State to process and obtain the visa through electronic means and records, when intending to travel to Mexico by air to be admitted under the condition of stay as Visitor without permission to engage in remunerated activities.
Requirements:
- Valid passport or identity and travel document, in accordance with international law, proving a nationality authorized by the Mexican State to obtain the Electronic Visa.
II. Completion of the Electronic Visa application, providing the information required by the immigration authority.
III. Digital photograph of the applicant’s face, without glasses, against a white background similar to the passport or travel document photo, in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format, with a size between 2 and 5 MB.
IV. Image of the biographical data page of the passport or travel document, in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format, with a size between 2 and 5 MB, ensuring that the image remains within the parameters of the data page and is clearly legible.
V. Travel to Mexico by air.
VI. Payment of fees must be made in accordance with Article 22 of the applicable Federal Law on Fees.

Visitor Visa for Adoption Procedures
Applicable to foreign nationals intending to enter Mexico under the condition of stay as Visitor for the purpose of adoption, who are nationals or habitual residents of a country that is a member of the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption, or of a country with which Mexico has signed an agreement on this matter.
Requirements:
- Valid passport or identity and travel document in accordance with international law, in original;
II. Original report of adoptability or pre-assignment issued by the National System for Integral Family Development (DIF), providing information on the identity of the child or adolescent;
III. Original acceptance of the child’s assignment and continuation of the adoption procedure issued by the Central Authority of the Receiving State, expressing both its willingness and that of the applicants to proceed with the adoption process; and
IV. Payment of fees for the receipt, processing, and, where applicable, authorization of the visa, in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Fees.
Note: Within 30 calendar days from entry into national territory, the foreign national must obtain from the National Migration Institute a Visitor Card for adoption purposes.

Temporary Resident Visa
Applicable to foreign nationals intending to enter Mexico under the condition of stay as Temporary Resident, with the purpose of remaining for a period longer than 180 days and up to 4 years.
This type of visa allows the foreign national to work in Mexico, provided that the salary received is paid abroad.
In the event of having a job offer in Mexico and receiving salary within national territory, the company or individual employer must first obtain authorization directly from the National Migration Institute for the issuance of the foreign national’s visa.

- Valid passport or identity and travel document in accordance with international law, in original;
II. Original document proving legal residence, if the foreign national is not a citizen of the country where the visa is requested; and
III. Presentation of documents proving any of the following circumstances:
a) Economic solvency.
b) Scientific research in Mexico’s jurisdictional waters.
c) Invitation from an organization or public or private institution.
d) Under the framework of an international legal instrument on the mobility of persons.
e) Family unity.
f) Real estate property in national territory.
g) Investor.
Note: In all cases, the foreign national must, within 30 calendar days from entry into national territory, apply for the residence card before the National Migration Institute, which certifies their legal stay and allows them to remain in Mexico.

Applicable to foreign nationals intending to enter Mexico under the condition of stay as a Temporary Resident Student.
Foreign nationals holding Temporary Resident Student status may apply to the National Migration Institute for authorization to engage in remunerated activities within national territory.
Requirements:
- Valid passport or identity and travel document in accordance with international law, in original;
II. Original document proving legal residence, if the foreign national is not a citizen of the country where the visa is requested; and
III. Presentation of documents proving any of the following circumstances:
a) Studies.
b) Under the framework of an international legal instrument on the mobility of persons.
Economic solvency may be demonstrated by the applicant, by their parents, or by the person exercising parental authority or guardianship, provided they are under 25 years of age, or through a letter from the educational institution confirming a scholarship award, or through a document issued by a banking or financial institution certifying the availability of funding.
Note: The Temporary Resident Student card, which certifies legal stay and allows residence in Mexico, must be obtained within 30 calendar days from entry into national territory.

Note: The residence card certifying legal stay and allowing residence in Mexico must be obtained from the National Migration Institute (INM) within 30 calendar days from entry into national territory.
