- Visa applications will be processed by appointment (one appointment per person) through the citas.sre.gob.mx website.
- Should you require a Mexican visa, you must select only the option for visa application. If you schedule a different procedure in the MiConsulado portal, it will not be possible to process your request.
- The appointment must be made in the name of the person who requires the visa, even if they are underage.
- Once the appointment has been confirmed, you must send the documentation, completed form and appointment confirmation to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
- At your appointment you must present the documents in original and copy.
- Incomplete or erroneous submission of documents will mean that your visa cannot be processed on the day of the appointment, for which you will have to make a new appointment through the MiConsulado portal.

Do I need a visa?
Consult the official list of countries whose nationals require a visa to enter Mexico.
If your nationality does NOT require a visa:
You may enter Mexico as a visitor for up to 180 days, provided you do not carry out remunerated activities in Mexico. This includes tourism, business activities, studies, internships, volunteering, advisory activities, technical assistance, journalism, religious activities and transit.
Foreign nationals whose salary is paid from abroad and who do not sign a labor contract in Mexico may enter under the status of visitor.
If your nationality DOES require a visa:
