Please note the following:

  • Visa processing duration is between 2 and 10 working days.
  • Schedule an appointment and turn up personally at the Embassy (the visa cannot be issued neither by internet nor by post or through a third person).
  • Kindly apply at least six weeks before your intended departure date.
  • Verify whether you need a transit visa to contact the appropriate Embassy for a visa acquisition.

 

General Requirements

  1. Present the original and photocopy of traveling passport with at least 6-month validity and enough blank pages.
  2. The Application form will be given to you to fill at the Embassy on the day you submit your documents.
  3. One passport size photograph (size 1.5 x 1.3/4 inches OR 32.0 millimeters x 26 millimeters and at most 39.0 millimeters x 31.0 millimeters), in color, no glasses, uncovered face and white background with a neutral facial expression.
  4. Original and copy of the document proving legal residence (visa and / or resident card), applicable to foreigners who are not nationals of the country where the visa application is to be submitted.
  5. Pay the required fee (the deposit slip will be given at the Embassy on the date of your appointment).
  6. Present the documents that support your case regarding one of the following options:

 

A. ECONOMIC SOLVENCY

  1. Last three months' bank statements ink signed and stamped by the bank
  2. (i) Employment letter/H.R. letter addressed to the Embassy of Mexico, issued on letterhead paper and stating the applicant’s position, period of employment, monthly and annual salary, the company’s contact details, and the name and position of the person that signs. Include photocopy of ID of the person who signs the letter with visible signature. The letter must be signed in ink. Scanned image or PDF versions will not be accepted.   (ii) Include salary pay slips for the last three months duly stamped and ink signed and with all the applicant’s information.
  3. For economic dependents (wife, children under 25 years old), documents that proves the family relation. 

 

B. FRECUENT TRAVELER

  1. Valid visas issued by at least three different countries (not from border countries).

 

C. PROMINENT PERSON

  1. Letter from the applicant requesting the visa as well as proof of the activity performed or expertise certificate/resume.

 

D. MEXICAN RELATIVE

  1. Spouse or common-law partner: marriage certificate or common law certificate or equivalent (original and one copy). Son/daughter, birth certificate (original and one copy). Parents (minor) birth certificate of the applicant (original and one copy). Brother/sister (minor) birth certificate from both, the applicant’s and the Mexican brother/sister (original and one copy).
  2. Original and one copy of document proving Mexican nationality.

 

E. TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT RESIDENT RELATIVE

  1. Spouse or common-law partner: marriage certificate or common law certificate or equivalent (original and one copy. Son/daughter, birth certificate (original and one copy). Parents (minor) birth certificate of the applicant (original and one copy). Brother/sister (minor) birth certificate from both, the applicant’s and the Mexican brother/sister (original and one copy).
  2. Copy of the temporary or permanent residence card.

 

F. DIPLOMAT RELATIVE, ORDINARY PASSPORT HOLDER

  1. Spouse or common-law partner: marriage certificate or common law certificate or equivalent (original and one copy). Son/daughter, birth certificate (original and one copy). Parents (minor) birth certificate of the applicant (original). Brother/sister (minor) birth certificate from both, the applicant’s and the Mexican brother/sister (original and one copy).
  2. Copy of the accreditation card.

 

G. COMPANY SUPERVISOR

  1. Deed or policy from the corporation signed before a Commissioner of Oaths, or a document duly certified by the administrative body or a competent officer thereof, proving legal constitution of the business.
  2. Letter from the company specifying the applicant’s post and the company’s commitment to cover travel expenses.
