President Joseph Biden formally accepted the Letter of Credence that accredits Esteban Moctezuma Barragán as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico in the United States of America
On April 20th 2021, the President of the United States of America, Joseph R. Biden Jr. accepted the Letter of Credence that accredits Esteban Moctezuma Barragán as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico in the United States of America.
President Biden expressed his desire to “advance our common agenda and to deepen the strong and abiding friendship between our countries”. Likewise, Ambassador Moctezuma Barragán transmitted President Biden his conviction that bilateral cooperation is key for the recovery of the economies of both countries. The procedure was carried out according to the sanitary protocols established by the White House.
Since his arrival in Washington D.C., Ambassador Moctezuma Barragán started coordinating actions with the Mexican consular network and key allies to strengthen the attention and defense of Mexicans in the United States, according to the directions of the Mexican Presidency and the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs. It is a priority to promote the vaccination of Mexican nationals regardless of their migratory status.
