VISITOR WITH PERMISSION TO CONDUCT REMUNERATED ACTIVITY (NUT - INAMI)

 

VERY IMPORTANT

  • Visa applications will only be accepted with a scheduled appointment;
  • THERE ARE NO URGENT APPOINTMENTS;
  • Mexican visa application is processed exclusively at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Mexico in Vietnam, located in HANOI;
  • The Honorary Consulate of Mexico in Ho Chi Minh City does not receive and process Mexican visa applications;
  • All Mexican Visa Applicants must submit their application and collect their passport and visa (if granted) in person at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Mexico in Vietnam, located in HANOI;
  • The Mexican visa application is strictly personal. Mediation or Representation for Mexican Visa is allowed only for minors (by their parents) or individuals with verified intellectual disabilities;
  • There will be no prior review of documents before the scheduled appointment date;
  • Applicants are responsible for presenting all required documents as listed on the Visa Section of the Embassy’s website. Important: It is highly recommended not to hire third-party services for preparing your documents, as these services often prepare generic applications for various countries, which in most of the cases do not meet Mexican visa requirements;
  • It is the applicant’s responsibility to read carefully all requirements and FULLY provide all necessary documents on the day of the scheduled interview.

THE EMBASSY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE APPOINTMENT IF DOCUMENTATION IS INCOMPLETE.

  • The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documentation;
  • All Vietnamese or Laotian documents must be translated into Spanish by a certified translation office and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam or Laos, respectively. Documents originally issued in English might be accepted without translation to Spanish. The original Vietnamese or Laotian document must also be presented alongside its translation;
  • All documents (bank statements, letters, etc.) issued in countries other than Vietnam and Laos have to be duly legalized at the Mexican Embassy or Consulate in country where the document was issued, OR apostilled by the country of origin, if it is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention;
  • The application processing fee must be paid in cash, IN U.S. DOLLARS ONLY when submitting the application at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Mexico in Vietnam, located in Hanoi;
  • Important: Credit or debit cards are not accepted, nor is local currency; only U.S. dollars in cash are accepted, with bills in good condition, free of scribbles, amendments, or tears, and issued in 2013 or later. Please bring the exact amount as this office does not provide change. You can check the fees for the process at the following LINK.
  • Payment is NOT REFUNDABLE regardless of the visa application result;
  • The issuance of a Mexican visa is subject to approval following the consular interview. The Embassy has up to 10 (TEN) working days to issue the visa application result;
  • The Consular Section does not issue express visas. Visas, if granted, are issued up to 10 (TEN) working days;
  • Some Mexican visas and cases require approval from the Mexican National Immigration Institute (INAMI), which may result in processing times exceeding 10 (TEN) working days;
  • According to Mexico’s Migration Law, the visa does not guarantee the entry into Mexico. Final admission is subject to the approval by the migratory and sanitary authorities at the point of entry;
  • If INAMI denies entry to a foreign individual into Mexico, the Embassy of Mexico in Vietnam does not serve as a mediator for inquiries or claims. Such matters must be addressed directly to INAMI in Mexico.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

1) Visa application form Duly filled in English or Spanish (Latin characters) and signed by the applicant. (Download here).

2) Passport

(Original and Photocopy)
  • Original, valid at least six months from the intended date of entry into Mexico;
  • Photocopy, good quality of the personal data pages that contain the following information: Passport number, signature, validity period;
  • Original and photocopies of previous passports, visas and entry stamps.
3) Photo
  • One recent (no more than 30 days) colour photo;
  • Size: 3.5 x 4 cm, white background, NO DIGITAL RETOUCH (NO PHOTOSHOP);
  • The face must be uncovered, without glasses or any kind of accessories/decorations.

4) Proof of legal stay in Viet Nam

(Original and Photocopy)
  • Only for applicants who are not Vietnamese citizens.
  • Permanent Residence Card, Temporary Residence Card, Valid Visa issued by Vietnamese migration authorities. 

5) Documents

  • INAMI Authorization letter (NUT)
  • Supporting documents:
    • Invitation letter from the employer in Mexico.
    • Proof of personal skills for the intended activity.
6) Application processing fee 

Payment in cash, exact amount in US Dollars.

VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Please review all the information carefully and ensure that you have all the required documents completed;

2. Schedule your appointment through the Mi Consulado system* provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.

 Important: The Embassy of Mexico in Vietnam does not schedule Mexican Visa appointments via email.

* This is the only authorized and completely free site for scheduling appointments at Mexican consular offices abroad.

Appointments are free of charge, non-transferable and depend on slot availability. Each individual must personally request their own appointment.

When visa appointments are fully booked, the option to request this service will not be available on the platform.

If "Available procedures" does not display visa options, it means there are no open dates for the procedure. New appointments are released weekly for the following week.

Each consular service requires an individual appointment, which must correspond to the specific service requested.

The publication of visa appointments is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico. The system is also controlled directly from Mexico City and new appointments are published weekly.

For system errors or account issues, inquiries should be directed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico.

3. On the date and time of your appointment, the applicant must present all the required documents as listed on the Visa Section of the Embassy’s website, including the printed consular appointment from the PDF document issued by Mi Consulado system.

4. After the consular interview, the Embassy has up to 10 (TEN) working days to issue the visa application result.

5. The process is complete when the applicant receives the result of their Mexican visa application and the Mexican Visa, if granted.
