Visitor Visa Without Authorization to Engage in Remunerated
Applicable to foreign nationals who intend to enter Mexico under the immigration status of visitor without authorization to engage in paid activities, for a period of up to 180 days.
Requirements:
I. A valid passport or travel and identity document valid under international law and currently in force (original);
II. Original document proving legal stay, if the foreign national is not a citizen of the country where the visa is being requested; and
III. Submit documents that prove one of the following circumstances:
a) Ties to the country of residence.
b) Economic solvency.
c) Invitation from a public or private organization or institution.
d) Being a truck driver or transport operator intending to enter national territory solely for the purpose of loading or unloading merchandise.
e) Humanitarian reasons.
f) Scientific research or collection of samples in national territory or within the country's jurisdictional waters, subject to prior authorization from the competent national authorities in said waters.
g) Studies.
h) Participation in an event sponsored or endorsed by the Federal Public Administration or by autonomous constitutional bodies, for a maximum duration of 180 days.

Applicable to foreign nationals with substantial economic solvency, frequent travelers, prominent individuals, spouses, common-law partners or equivalent figures of Mexican nationals or of temporary or permanent residents; relatives of temporary or permanent residents; relatives of accredited diplomatic or consular officials in Mexico; and supervisors of a foreign company with a branch in national territory or executive personnel of commercial offices or Mexican companies abroad who wish to enter Mexico under the immigration status of visitor without authorization to engage in remunerated activities and who do not intend to reside in national territory.
Requirements:
I. A valid passport or travel and identity document valid under international law and in force (original).
II. Original document proving legal stay, if the foreign national is not a citizen of the country where the visa is being requested.
III. Submit documents that prove any of the following circumstances:
a) Economic solvency.
b) Frequent traveler.
c) Prominent individual.
d) Relative of a Mexican national.
e) Relative of a foreign national who is a temporary or permanent resident.
f) Relative of a diplomatic or consular official accredited in Mexico holding an ordinary passport.
g) Supervisor of a foreign company with a branch in Mexico or executive personnel of commercial offices or Mexican companies abroad.

Applicable to foreign nationals whose nationality is eligible for the issuance of an electronic visa by the Mexican government, and who intend to travel to Mexico by air under the immigration status of Visitor without authorization to engage in paid activities.
Requirements:
- A valid passport or travel and identity document, recognized under international law, confirming eligibility for the Electronic Visa. FOR TURKISH CITIZENS, ONLY ORDINARY (RED) PASSPORTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR AN ELECTRONIC VISA.
- Complete the Electronic Visa application, providing all information required by the immigration authority.
- A digital photograph of the applicant’s face (without glasses), with a white background, similar to a passport-style photo, in .jpg, .jpeg, or png format, and between 2 to 5 MB in size.
- Image of the passport or travel document data page, in .jpg, .jpeg, or png format, between 2 to 5 MB in size. The image must be properly aligned and clearly display the data page.
- Travel to Mexico by air only.
- Payment of fees as set forth in Article 22 of the current Federal Law on Fees.

Visitor Visa for Adoption Procedures
Applicable to foreign nationals who intend to enter Mexico under the immigration status of Visitor for the purpose of adoption and who are nationals or habitual residents of a country that is a member of the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption, or of a country with which Mexico has signed a bilateral agreement on adoption matters.
Requirements:
I. A valid passport or travel and identity document valid under international law and currently in force (original).
II. Original Adoptability Report or Pre-assignment Report issued by the el Sistema Nacional para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia, including information on the identity of the child or adolescent.
III. Original acceptance of the child assignment and continuation of the adoption process, issued by the Central Authority of the receiving country, expressing the intent and consent of the applicants to continue the adoption process.
IV. Payment of applicable visa fees in accordance with the Federal Law on Fees.
Note: Within 30 calendar days after entering Mexican territory, the foreign national must obtain a Visitor Card for Adoption Purposes from the National Institute of Migration.

Temporary Resident Visa
Applicable to foreign nationals who intend to enter Mexico under the status of Temporary Resident, for a period longer than 180 days and up to 4 years.
This visa allows the foreign national to work in Mexico only if their salary is paid from abroad.
If the applicant has a job offer in Mexico and will receive their salary within national territory, the company or individual offering employment must first obtain an authorization from the National Institute of Migration (INM) for the issuance of the visa.
Requirements:
I. A valid passport or travel and identity document valid under international law and in force (original).
II. Original document proving legal stay, if the foreign national is not a citizen of the country where the visa is being requested.
III. Submit documents proving any of the following circumstances:
a) Economic solvency
b) Scientific research in Mexico’s territorial waters
c) Invitation from a public or private organization or institution
d) Under an international legal instrument for mobility
e) Family unity
f) Ownership of real estate in Mexico
g) Investor status
NOTE: In all cases, the foreign national must, within 30 calendar days from their entry into Mexico, apply for a residency card that certifies their legal stay and allows them to remain in national territory.

Temporary Resident Student Visa
Applicable to foreign nationals who intend to enter Mexico under the status of Temporary Resident Student.
A foreign national holding the Temporary Resident Student status may request authorization from the National Institute of Migration (INM) to engage in paid activities within Mexico.
Requirements:
I. A valid passport or travel and identity document valid under international law and currently in force (original).
II. Original document proving legal stay, if the foreign national is not a citizen of the country where the visa is being requested.
III. Submit documents proving one of the following circumstances:
a) Enrollment in academic studies.
b) Participation under an international legal instrument on mobility.
Proof of financial solvency may be provided by:
- The applicant,
- The applicant’s parents or legal guardians (if under 25 years of age), or
- A letter from the educational institution confirming a scholarship,
- Or a document from a banking or financial institution confirming sufficient funding.
Note: The Temporary Resident Student Card, which certifies legal stay and authorizes the student to remain in Mexican territory, must be obtained within 30 calendar days after entering the country.

III. Submit documents proving one of the following circumstances:
- Retirees or pensioners.
- Family unity.
- Point based system eligibility.
Note: The Permanent Resident Card, which certifies legal stay and authorizes residence in Mexico, must be requested at the National Institute of Migration (INM) within 30 calendar days from the date of entry into the country.

Types of Visas Processed by the National Institute of Migration (INM)
- I. Visitor Visa without permission to engage in remunerated activities, when requested for humanitarian reasons.
II. Visitor Visa with permission to engage in remunerated activities, when requested due to a job offer.
III. Temporary Resident Visa, when requested due to a job offer or for family unity.
IV. Permanent Resident Visa, when requested under the points-based system, for family unity, or as a result of the recognition of refugee status.
