Requirements
- Application form duly filled - (Download).
- One passport-size photograph with face and head uncovered, in color with a white background. (printed in photo-paper).
- For applicants who are not citizens of Sweden, Lithuania, or Latvia but reside in one of these countries, please submit a copy of your valid Swedish, Lithuanian, or Latvian residence permit. If you are a citizen of another EU member state, please provide a proof of registration issued by the local authorities. If you do not meet these criteria, please contact the Mexican Embassy nearest to your place of habitual residence.
- You can choose one (1) of these options to prove your economy solvency in Sweden, Lithuania or Latvia:
OPTION 1
- Employment letter (in English -contracts are not permitted-) stating your personal details, position, salary (after taxes), the starting date of the employment (a minimum of 1 year of employment is required) and contact details of the signatory. The ORIGINAL must be presented once an appointment is granted. COPIES are NOT VALID. If the letter has a digital signature, it should contain at least an original stamp from the company.
- Pay slips for the last three (3) months.
OPTION 2
- The last three months of the account statement from a Swedish/Lithuanian/Latvian bank (stamped by the bank). If the accounts statements are from a bank outside Sweden/Lithuania/Latvia, they must be apostilled.
- Letter from the bank certifying your account and its balance, which must match the account statement.
OPTION 3 (only for students studying at university or higher grades in Sweden, Lithuania and Latvia).
- Certificate of studies stating personal details and current course (stamped and signed). COPIES are NOT VALID. If the certificate has a digital signature, it should contain at least an original stamp from the University.
- Documents to prove the financial solvency of the applicant: letter of employment + pay slips for the last three (3) months or a document stating that the applicant has a scholarship.
NOTE: Sponsorship for visas is only permitted for first-degree relatives (parents, children, and spouses).
NOTE: Applicants for a visa in the capacity of AU PAIRS in Sweden/Lithuania/Latvia are required to demonstrate financial self-sufficiency (OPTION 1 or OPTION 2). Sponsorship is not permitted in this category, except in cases where familial ties can be established.
NOTE: Residence permits must have at least 4 months of validity.
Please note that the visa is valid for only 6 months, starting from the day of the issuance.
