MEXICAN VISA REQUIREMENTS

Visa for Visitors without Authorization for Lucrative Activities

• Apply at this Consular Section in person
• Fill out the application form with one passport-size color photograph (size 32mm x 26mm), no eyeglasses, on white background, affixed to the application form. Kindly ensure the application form is signed by the applicant.
• Original valid passport and one color photocopy of the pages containing personal information, photograph of bearer and expiry date/extensions
• Valid proof of legal residence/entry in South Africa (if applicable) and one photocopy
• If applicable, payment of consular fee, card payment only. Free of charge for South African passport holders.
• Proof of Financial Solvency (“A” or “B” below):

• Fill out the application form with one passport-size color photograph (size 32mm x 26mm), no eyeglasses, on white background, affixed to the application form. Kindly ensure the application form is signed by the applicant.
• Original valid passport and one color photocopy of the pages containing personal information, photograph of bearer and expiry date/extensions
• Original note verbale requesting the visa, specifying purpose, place, dates and duration of the trip or event to attend in Mexico.
• If available, letter of invitation
• Applicants of this kind of visas do not need to apply in person at this Consular Section. All required documents can be couriered to our premises (see address at the bottom of this message).
• Visas are free of charge.
• Visas are normally issued within 2-3 days and up to a maximum of 10 working days.

South African diplomatic passport holders DO NOT require a visa to travel to Mexico.

(a)

- Original last 3 (three) months’ personal bank statements stamped by the bank.

OR

(b)

- Last 3 (three) months’ payslips,

AND

- Original employment letter, on company’s letterhead, signed in ink, stating applicant’s full name, nationality and passport number, period of employment, position and salary.

- Original invitation/sponsoring letter, on company’s letterhead, including the following:

• Applicant´s full name and nationality.
• Corporate name of the organization or company.
• Registration number of the company/organization, Main purpose of the public or private organization/company.
• Full address and contact information of the company/organization.
• Information about the exact activity that the applicant is going to perform in Mexico or precise purpose of the project he/she would take part.
• Estimated duration or approximate date of completion of the activity to perform.
• Stating commitment of liability or responsibility for handling foreign person during his/her stay in Mexico and his/her return to his/her country of origin or residence.

AND

- Photocopy of ID of the person who signs the letter with visible signature. The letter must be signed in ink. Scanned, image or PDF versions will not be accepted.

AND

- The organization or private institution inviting/sponsoring must provide original investments/bank accounts statements for the last 12 (twelve) months stamped by the bank.

IMPORTANT:

• “Original” refers to a document signed/stamped in ink, and not to an electronic/digitalized version (e.g.: original invitation letter and bank statements, etc. must have been posted/couriered to you)
• Please note that personal invitations (e.g.: a friend inviting you to Mexico) are not accepted.
