Foreigners with a visa of Permanent Residence, Temporary Residence or Temporary Residence (Students) are able to import their personal belongings during the period of their stay in Mexico. The Embassy can issue a certificate to be used at the port of entry of the belongings.
Home removal may only include used personal items acquired 6 months prior to the arrival in Mexico, such as: furniture, clothes, books, home electronics, decoration items, and art works that do not constitute full collections for exhibitions in galleries or museums. The items comprising the house removal cannot be re-sold or used for a different purpose.
Bear in mind that it is NOT possible to include vehicles of any sort in the house removal.

REQUIREMENTS:

b)
  Original and 4 copies of a valid passport
c)   Original and 4 copies of the visa of Permanent Residence, Temporary Residence or Temporary Residence-Student. Original permits issued by the National Migrations Institute of Mexico (INM) are also valid.
d)   Original and 3 copies of the home removal list, containing a detailed description and quantity of the items comprising the house removal. In addition, each electronic good must include trade mark, model and serial number. The list must be signed by the applicant, in every single sheet.
e)   Original and 4 copies of a letter, where the applicant declares the reason for moving to Mexico and the lenght of the stay. A home address in Mexico must be included in the letter (street, number, zip code, city and state). The applicant must sign the letter.

You will need to set up an account and choose the most suitable time for your appointment at the Consular Section of the Embassy. Once you have booked your appointment, the system will generate a confirmation letter, which you must bring with you to the Embassy on the day of your appointment. The letter can also be sent to the email account that you provide.
Early application is highly recommended. Please note that, if you wish to reschedule or if you miss your appointment, you will need to file a new request following the above procedure.
