(ADOPTION VISA)
This type of visa is for you if:
- You are traveling to Mexico in order to complete the legal process to adopt a child
- You have received a child matching report (Informe de adoptabilidad o pre-asignación) issued by Mexico’s National Family Institute (DIF)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Apply to the Consular Section in person
- Valid passport and one photocopy of the information page of the passport
- One passport size picture (in color, recent, no glasses, facing front, white background, 32 x 26 mm or 39 x 31 mm)
- If not a South African citizen, valid proof of legal residence/entry in South Africa and one photocopy of that document
- Child matching report (Informe de adoptabilidad o pre-asignación) issued by DIF (original and 1 copy)
- Letter of commitment that you will continue processing the adoption, issued by the corresponding authority in Mexico (original and 1 copy)
- Payment of consular fee
