STEP 1/6: Each adult and minor applicant should attach the following:

- For applicants who are not citizens of Serbia, proof of legal residence in Serbia is required: if the applicant is citizen or resident of Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia or Montenegro and enters Serbia for the purpose of submitting a visa application, a photocopy of the page in the passport containing the stamp proving legal entry into the country is required.
- One photograph, not older than 3 months, with the face uncovered, without glasses, in color, with a white background and face. The photo must be pasted or stapled to the form in the designated place, in the following dimensions: 4.5 CM X 3.5 CM. The face should occupy 80% of the photo. In the photo, you need to look the same as you did at the consular interview.
- Pay the visa application fee.
(*) Citizens of Serbia are exempt from paying the fee for applying for a visa without a permit for performing paid activities, which is issued for 180 days. A fee is payable for all other types of visas
STEP 2/6: Prepare documentation according to the type of visa you are applying for.
In addition to the basic documentation listed in step 1, it is necessary to attach: 1.- An original cover letter drawn up and signed by the applicant stating the purpose of the trip and the planned length of stay in Mexico. 2.- The original of the employment certificate, with the specified date of commencement of the employment, signed and stamped by the employer and a copy of the passport or identity card (that contains signature) of the person signing the document. It is necessary that the applicant has been employed in the same company for at least one year. Along with the employment certificate, it is necessary to attach the Certificate of submitted application, change and de-registration of compulsory social insurance. 3.- The original of the monthly salary calculation for the previous three months, signed and stamped by the employer. 4.- Original bank statement for the previous three months, signed and stamped by the bank. The statement should show all payments, withdrawals and the balance for the specified period. Account balance confirmations are not accepted, only statements. The bank statement should be in the name of the applicant as a natural person. For applicants who have a company: extracts in the name of the company are not accepted, nor extracts containing PR, DOO, etc. in addition to their name. (*) In the case of holding a foreign currency or savings account in the name of the applicant as a natural person: original bank statement for the previous three months, signed and stamped by the bank. Account balance confirmations are not accepted, only statements. (*) In the case of owning real estate for at least two years: the original certificate from the cadastre stating the name, surname and date from which the real estate is registered in the applicant's name, signed and stamped by the person issuing the document. The document must be authenticated with an apostille stamp and translated into Spanish or English. Purchase contracts, tax receipts, or any other documents not issued by the Real Estate Cadastre are not accepted. (*) In the case of ownership of the company for at least two years: the original and one copy of the extract from the APR, signed and stamped by the person issuing the document, certified by an apostille with a seal and translated into Spanish or English. If applicable: For pensioners: original and one copy of the pension decision and pension checks for the last three months in the original and one copy. For married persons that travel together: it is suggested to attach both the original and one copy of the marriage certificate. For minors: The listed documentation under step 1. The above documentation from parents to prove economic solvency. The original birth certificate of the minor, authenticated with an apostille stamp, translated into Spanish or English. (international format not accepted) A signed statement from the parents about covering the travel expenses. Copies of both parents' passports. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by both parents. If one of the parents is unable to attend the consular interview, it is necessary for the other parent to notarize the consent, in which he/she agrees to the visa application being submitted without his/her presence. (copy of the passport of the absent parent is required) If one of the parents is deceased the original death certificate authenticated with an apostille stamp, translated into Spanish or English is required. (*) Please note that all applicants, including children, must provide biometric data. Please talk to the children before visiting the consular department and prepare them for the procedure so that it goes smoothly. BUSINESS VISIT: In addition to the basic documentation listed in step 1, it is necessary to attach: 1.- An original cover letter drawn up and signed by the applicant stating the purpose of the trip and the planned length of stay in Mexico. 2.- Original invitation letter from the company in Mexico. Attach a copy of the passport of the person signing the document. 3.- Original cover letter drawn up by the employer stating the purpose of the trip to Mexico and the length of stay. Attach a copy of the passport of the person signing the document. 4.- The original of the employment certificate, with the specified date of commencement of the employment relationship, signed and stamped by the employer and a copy of the passport or identity card of the person signing the document. It is necessary that the applicant has been employed in the same company for at least one year. BUSINESS VISIT ON THE BASIS OF A LETTER OF INVITATION FROM A COMPANY OR ORGANIZATION IN MEXICO WHICH BEARS TRAVEL COSTS: In addition to the basic documentation listed in step 1, it is necessary to attach: 1.- An original cover letter drawn up and signed by the applicant stating the purpose of the trip and the planned length of stay in Mexico. 2.- Original cover letter drawn up by the employer stating the purpose of the trip to Mexico and the length of stay. Attach a copy of the passport of the person signing the document. 3.- Original invitation letter from the inviting Mexican company. Attach a copy of the passport of the person signing the document. Original letter of invitation containing the following information: a.- Applicant's full name and nationality. b.- Name or official name of the organization. c.- Official registration number. e.- The full address and details of the contact person in the company or organization. f.- Information about the activities or project in which the foreign person should participate. The activity of a foreign person must be related to the activities of the inviting organization or institution. g.- Approximate duration or approximate date of completion of the activity. h.- A statement covering the foreigner's expenses during his stay in Mexico and a guarantee that the foreigner will return to the country of origin or residence. i.- Copy of official identification and passport with signature and photo of the person signing the invitation letter. 4.- Original bank statement from the Mexican company for the previous 12 months, signed and stamped by the bank. 5.- The original and one copy of the document by which the applicant proves that he has the experience, ability, skills or knowledge necessary to perform the activity for which he is invited. STUDENTS: In addition to the basic documentation listed in step 1, it is necessary to attach: If tourism is concerned: Students who apply for a tourism visa must have at least one year of employment. 1.-Certificate of studies, signed and stamped by the person issuing the document. 2.- Certified copy of the index. 3.-An original cover letter drawn up and signed by the applicant stating the purpose of the trip and the planned length of stay in Mexico. 4.- The original of the employment certificate, with the specified date of commencement of the employment relationship, signed and stamped by the employer and a copy of the passport or identity card of the person signing the document. If it is a student exchange for a period of up to 180 days: In addition to the basic documentation listed in step 1, it is necessary to attach: 1.- Original letter of invitation from a university in Mexico, signed and stamped by the person signing the document, which should contain the following: a.- University name, address and official registration number. b.- Name and surname of the applicant and citizenship. c.- The degree and field of study the applicant intends to pursue. d.- The name of the course or academic activity the applicant intends to attend. e.- Approximate duration or approximate date of completion of the academic activity. f.- The cost of tuition for an academic activity or course. g.- A copy of the passport and official identification of the person signing the document. 2.- Prove economic solvency to cover costs: Applicants who will receive a scholarship: the invitation letter should contain the amount of the scholarship that the student will receive. Applicants who are over 25 years of age must prove that they have sufficient funds to cover their own expenses. Applicants who are under 25 years of age: parents or spouses can bear the costs of travel and accommodation, for which it is necessary to attach the following: (*) The original of the employment certificate, with the specified date of commencement of the employment relationship, signed and stamped by the employer and a copy of the passport or identity card of the person signing the document. It is necessary that the applicant has been employed in the same company for at least one year. (*) Applicant's birth certificate (or marriage certificate), apostille certified and translated into Spanish or English, (*) Certified consent from parents (spouse) to cover expenses (*) A copy of the passport of the parent who bears the travel expenses. INVITATION FROM THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT: In addition to the basic documentation listed in step 1, it is necessary to attach: 1.-Original letter of invitation issued by the Government of Mexico, at the federal level, stamped and signed by the person issuing the document. 2.- Passport or identity card of the person signing the document. VISA FOR 10 YEARS - FOR UNPAID ACTIVITIES AND STAY UP TO 180 DAYS This type of visa is issued for a period of 10 years, however, a stay of up to 180 days can be granted for each entry into the country. Featured personality: In addition to the basic documentation listed in step 1, it is necessary to attach: A written statement by the applicant with accompanying documentation confirming an internationally recognized specialty or that the applicant is a person of recognized national or international reputation or a similar distinguished person, i.e. a scientist, researcher, humanist, artist, athlete or journalist. Pay the visa application fee in cash and the correct dollar amount. Based on frequent travel: In addition to the basic documentation listed in step 1, it is necessary to attach: Copy of passport pages containing three visas or stamps proving entry into three different countries in the previous year, provided they do not border the country of residence. Pay the visa application fee in cash and the correct dollar amount. *People interested in this type of visa will have an extensive consular interview, which will depend on the outcome of the request. Applying for this type of visa does not imply automatic approval. TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT WITH A NUT DOCUMENT BASED ON A JOB OFFER FOR MORE THAN 180 DAYS
The application for a work permit visa must be submitted by the employer in Mexico at any of the offices of the National Institute of Immigration (INM) located throughout Mexico. The document must be signed and stamped by the person issuing the document. (do not attached the documents sent to the INM) Job offer or contract issued by the Mexican employer. The document must be signed and stamped by the person issuing the document. A copy of the passport or identity card of the person signing the letter. Pay the visa application fee in cash and the correct dollar amount. TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT ON THE BASIS OF STUDY FOR STAY MORE THAN 180 DAYS STEP 3/6: Make an appointment via the CITAS website.
Regardless of age, each applicant must book a separate individual appointment. Appointments are scheduled online via the appointment scheduling website: https://citas.sre.gob.mx. Scheduling an appointment is free. Please note that the consular department does not schedule appointments. ALL consular interview appointments must be made through the above website. There are no group appointments, all adults and minors must have an appointment. To schedule an appointment, you need to create a profile on the given link and fill in the required fields. In the Services field, you need to select the OFFICINAS CONSULARES option in order to select BELGRADE in the Default office field. *BELGRADE will appear in the specified field only if there are available dates. If the message "no office found" /"Oficina no disponible" appears, it means that there are no available appointments, and we suggest that you periodically check whether an appointment has become available. After you schedule a suitable appointment, confirmation of the scheduled appointment is automatically generated in PDF format, which you need to print and bring on the day of the appointment. If you apply for a visa for tourism, transit, business visit, students and other unpaid activities for a stay of up to 180 days, it is necessary to mark the visa "SIN PERMISO DEL INM". Each interested person must make an appointment under the appropriate visa type, otherwise the application will not be processed. STEP 4/6: Prepare money for consular fees. The visa application fee is US$56. It is paid when submitting documents in cash and in dollars. The exact amount must be brought, otherwise the request will not be accepted. Citizens of Serbia are exempt from paying the fee for applying for a visa without a permit for performing paid activities, which is issued for 180 days. A fee is payable for all other types of visas. The fee for issuing a work visa (a visa with a permit to perform paid activities) is $321.00 dollars The application fee for a 10-year visa is $54. The amount of fees is valid until 31.12.2026. STEP 5/6: Attend the appointment. The personal presence of each minor and adult applicant is required. STEP 6/6: Collecting the passport. The passport must be collected in person. If a third party collects the applicant's passport, the person collecting the passport must attach: 1.- The original slip to retrieve the passport that was handed over to the applicant during the consular interview. 2.- Original statement of the applicant authorizing a third party to take over the passport (free form, does not have to be notarized) 3.- Original and a copy of the identity card or passport of the person collecting the passport.
In accordance with international norms, a passport must be valid for at least six months prior to travel. For additional questions, it is necessary to contact the airline. In accordance with Resolution 1244 (1999) of the Security Council of the United Nations, Mexico does not recognize Kosovo passports, so it is not possible to issue a Mexican visa to those who hold said passport or to provide them with any migration privileges.
