Mexico stands out at the prestigious Hay Festival 2023 with the inauguration of the Mexico pavilion
Hay-On-Wye, Wales. May 26, 2023 - Ambassador Josefa González-Blanco inaugurated the Mexico pavilion at the renowned Hay Festival 2023, the most important literary and arts festival in the United Kingdom, thus marking the beginning of a unique cultural experience for more than 200,000 attendees.
Hay Festival takes place annually in Hay-On-Wye, in Wales and has become a meeting point for writers, thinkers, artists and lovers of literature and the arts in general.
Founded in 1988, for more than three decades, it has been a space where the works of renowned authors and artists are presented and discussed while promoting public participation in question-and-answer sessions, discussion panels, and interactive workshops. It should be noted that since 2016, Hay Festival has had its own Mexican edition: Hay Festival Querétaro.
The participation of Mexico in the Hay Festival 2023 is of the utmost importance, as it represents a unique opportunity to show the richness and diversity of Mexican culture to the British public and international visitors. The Mexico pavilion, created by the cultural affairs team of the Embassy of Mexico in the United Kingdom, will offer an immersive experience that will highlight the literature, art, music, and gastronomy of our country.
