MEXICAN SECRETARIATS OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND ECONOMY ANNOUNCE HIGH-LEVEL MEETINGS IN WASHINGTON D.C.
· The objective of the visit is to hold talks about the current and future status of the bilateral relation in all sectors, focusing on security, migration and trade, this last subject will be led by Mexican Secretary Guajardo.
MEXICO CITY, 20th January 2017, Mexican Secretaries of Foreign Affairs, Luis Videgaray Caso, and Ildefonso Guajardo Villareal, will attend the High-Level meetings with members of the new administration of the UU.SS. Government on 25th -26th January in Washington D.C.
The main objective of the visit is to assist the current and future status of the bilateral relation in all sectors, highlighting security, migration and trade; this last subject will be led by Mexican Secretary Guajardo.
The meetings will be held with the following high-level officials of the White House: Reince Priebus, Chief of Staff; Jared Kushner, Senior Adviser; Stephen Bannon, Senior Adviser; Gary Cohn, National Economic Council Director; Peter Navarro, National Trade Council Director and Michael Flynn, National Security Adviser.
The Mexican Secretaries of Foreign Affairs and Economy will also hold meetings with members of President Trump’s cabinet, as long as their positions had been confirmed by the UU.SS. Senate.
