2014 MEXICAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR BRITISH STUDENTS

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Mexican Government offers British citizens scholarships for the following programmes:

The scholarship includes:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Enrolment fees and tuition, as established by the program at each institution.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Health insurance from the Mexican Social Security Institute, starting on the third month of the scholarship.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • If studying outside Mexico City, transportation will be provided from Mexico City to the host institution and back at the start and end of the scholarship.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Monthly allowance of $7,771.20 Mexican pesos (400 GBP) for undergraduate mobility scholarships, specializations, research at the Master´s degree level.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Monthly allowance of $9,714.00 Mexican pesos (500 GBP) for doctoral studies and research, postdoctoral fellowships and medical specializations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Undergraduate,  Master's  or  Ph.D. degree,  as  required  by  the  program  for  which  the  scholarship  is requested.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Minimum grade point average of upper second class degree (or 8.0 on a scale of 0 to 10), for the last academic degree received.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Be accepted on a program at one of the participating Mexican institutions. Click here for a list of the participating Universities

The scholarships may include, depending on the program: airfares, tuition fees and, for long stays, a monthly allowance for living expenses and medical insurance.

General terms and conditions:

  • Call will close on August 30, 2013
  • Scholarships available for programs beginning between March and October, 2013.
  • Candidates cannot be living in Mexico at the time of application.
  • Except in special cases, scholarships cannot begin in November or December.
  • Requests for information and all scholarship applications must be submitted to the Mexican embassy or concurrent embassy of the applicant’s country or to the designated Mexican institution. Only applications that fulfill all of the requirements will be considered.
  • All documents and forms must be in Spanish or submitted with translations into Spanish.
  • Candidates will be informed of the results by the corresponding Mexican embassy or designated Mexican institution.
  • The scholarships are not transferable and cannot be deferred to future years.
  • The completed, original applications must be submitted prior to the deadline. Applications sent by fax or email will not be accepted.
