PEMEX AND PROMEXICO PARTICIPATE IN OFF-SHORE EUROPE EXHIBITON

ABERDEEN, Scotland, 9th September 2015.- In order to explore new oil and gas investment opportunities, PEMEX and ProMexico inaugurated the pavilion of Mexico at the Off-Shore Europe Conference and Exhibition.

Mexican companies such as Frisa, Marine Tech, Maritima Internacional, Nomarna and Spifil also participated at the pavilion of Mexico in order to take advantage of the bi-annual event, the 2015 Off-Shore edition brought together more than 63,000 visitors, representatives of over 100 countries and more than 1,500 exhibitors.

During this week, representatives of the five previously named Mexican companies, along with PEMEX, the Secretariat of Energy of the Mexican state of Tabasco and COPARMEX, a series of meetings will be hold with British entrepreneurs, in the framework of what is considered the most important hydrocarbons exhibition.

The opening of the Mexican pavilion was attended by Baroness Jane Bonham Carter, Prime Minister’s David Cameron Trade Envoy to Mexico, who exchanged views with business representatives of both countries to explore the best way to link them both.

In coordination with UKTI, British Institution responsible for promoting trade and investment, ProMéxico organised a breakfast and Seminar on Mexico, in order to provide information to participants on the importance and scope of the energy reform and foreign investment opportunities that this represents.

In both events, representatives of PEMEX addressed its re-structure and adaptation to the new legal guidelines under which it will operate with companies and suppliers. Executives of more than 60 British companies were present at the series of events where they were able to get in contact with their Mexican counterparts.
