IMPORTANT NOTES:

Citizens of the following countries do not require a visa:

Holding a visa allows you to travel to a port of entry and request permission to enter the country. The official from the Immigration Institute of Mexico (INM) at the point of entry has the ultimate decision on admission of travellers. Holding a visa does not guarantee entry to Mexico.

In addition to a valid passport or travel document and visa, if applicable, immigration officials may ask for documents proving the duration and purpose of your trip, for example:

  • Return airplane tickets and accommodation bookings,
  • Travel itinerary in Mexico or purpose of the trip
  • Financial means to cover travel expenses during the stay in Mexico
