What is this visa?

This is a visa for foreign nationals who wish to enter Mexico as temporary residents to stay for a period exceeding 180 days and up to a maximum of 4 years.

Validity and Permitted Entries:

AFTER ENTERING MEXICO WITH THIS TYPE OF VISA, YOU MUST REPORT TO THE NEAREST OFFICE OF THE “NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MIGRATION” (INM) TO REQUEST A RESIDENT CREDENTIAL.

 


Requirements:


Please note that all documents are subject to verification. The process must be carried out in person; therefore, it is not possible to submit your documents via courier, mail, or a third party.

1. Processing fee:
Visa applications at the Embassy of Mexico incur a non-refundable fee in Naira equivalent to $54.00 USD, which must be deposited directly into the Embassy’s bank account.

Submit the printed and duly completed and signed visa application form in person, as biometric data (photograph and fingerprints) are required.

Original and a copy of your passport or travel and identity document valid under international law, with at least 6 months of validity before its expiration date.
