La libertad es un tema central de esta exposición, en la que Amador Montes examina cómo las aves, los peces y los insectos pueden volar, nadar y caminar sin limitaciones. Su obra refleja la tendencia a ignorar esta libertad natural construyendo límites imaginarios. Además, “El Otro Muro” profundiza en la migración, un proceso natural para muchas especies animales y un fenómeno que ha formado parte de la historia de la humanidad a lo largo del tiempo.
Amador Montes
Reside y trabaja en Oaxaca, México. Su obra ha formado parte de importantes colecciones públicas y privadas en México, Inglaterra, España, Estados Unidos, Corea, Emiratos Árabes Unidos y otros países. Artista plástico, diseñador gráfico, escultor y grabador, prefiere dejar de lado la lógica en favor de las emociones, convencido de que sus creaciones surgen de la casualidad. Es un apasionado de la evolución que abraza el cambio, la experimentación y la búsqueda constante de descubrimiento. Freedom is a central theme in this exhibition, where Amador Montes explores how birds, fish, and insects can fly, swim, and walk without restrictions. His work reflects on how this natural freedom has been forgotten by humans by creating imaginary boundaries. “The Other Wall” explores migration as a phenomenon that transcends boundaries, becoming a subject of interest to anyone who has experienced movement across geographic spaces and cultural contexts.
Amador Montes resides and works in Oaxaca. His work has been featured in notable public and private collections across Mexico, England, Spain, the United States, Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries. A dedicated artist, graphic designer, sculptor, and printmaker, he prefers to set aside logic in favor of emotions, believing that his creations emerge through happenstance. Passionate about evolution, he embraces change, experimentation, and an ongoing quest for discovery. Esta exposición ofrece una mirada al rico patrimonio cultural y a la vibrante creatividad de mexicana a través de una selección de piezas de madera, cerámica, tela, bordado, papel, piel, joyería y metal, entre otras muchas técnicas y saberes transmitidos de generación en generación. Cada pieza cuenta una historia única de expresión artística, identidad, comunidad y herencia, vinculada a los distintos estados y regiones del país. Esta muestra forma parte de los eventos conmemorativos del 2025, declarado en México como el Año de las Mujeres Indígenas.

This exhibition aims to celebrate the unique techniques, symbolism, and regional styles that have been passed down through generations. Each item represents a unique story of artistic expression, identity, community, and heritage linked to the different Mexican states and regions. This exhibition is presented as part of the events that commemorate 2025 as the year of Indigenous women in Mexico.
