Ambassador of Mexico to the Republic of the Philippines, Daniel Hernández Joseph is a career diplomat with 41 years of experience. He has held a variety of position overseas, notably as the Mexican Ambassador to Greece, Cyprus and Moldova from March 2017 to December 2022. Moreover, he has served as the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Mexico to the United States of America, Consul General of Mexico in Boston, Massachusetts, Head of the Consulate of Mexico in Laredo, Texas, as well as the Deputy Head of Post at the Consulate General of Mexico in Austin Texas. Within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he held various positions such as Director-General for Protection of Mexicans Abroad, Director-General for Protection and Consular Affairs, Chief advisor at the General Directorate for North America, and Deputy Director in the General Directorate for Latin America and the Caribbean. Ambassador Hernández Joseph holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies. He speaks Spanish, English, French, and Greek.

El Embajador de Mexico ante Filipinas, Embajador Daniel Hernández Joseph, es un diplomático de carrera con 41 años de experiencia. Obtuvo el rango de Embajador en 2009. En el exterior, ha fungido como Embajador en Grecia, Chipre y Moldova de marzo 2017 hasta diciembre 2022, Jefe de Cancillería en la Embajada ante Estados Unidos, Cónsul General en Boston, Massachusetts, Cónsul de México en Laredo, Texas y Encargado de Protección Consular y Agregado Cultural en Houston, Texas. Fue Director General de Protección a Mexicanos en el Exterior (SRE) y Director General de Protección y Asuntos Consulares (SRE). Se tituló como Bachellor in Arts en Relaciones Internacionales por el Earlham College en Richmond, Indiana, y cuenta con una Maestría en Estudios Latinoamericanos por la Universidad de Texas.  Habla español, inglés, francés y griego.
