Mexico City, April 4, 2018
The Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Luis Videgaray, and the Secretary of the Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo, will pay a work visit to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, April 4th, and Thursday, April 5th, to follow up on the agenda of several high-level meetings.
In anticipation of the trilateral meeting between the officials responsible for the NAFTA negotiations, Secretary Guajardo will meet with Ambassador Robert Lighthizer, the United States Trade Representative. Meanwhile, the Foreign Secretary will meet with Jared Kushner, Senior Advisor to the President of the United States, and other officials, to discuss key issues regarding the bilateral relationship.
The Government of Mexico reaffirms its commitment to engaging seriously in the negotiations of the trade agreement through constructive dialogue in order to increase its benefits for the three nations.
