The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that Mr. Gerónimo Gutiérrez took office as Ambassador of Mexico to the United States.
In his first public event on the night of March 1st, Ambassador Gutiérrez inaugurated the exhibit “El Vuelo y su Semilla”, by renowned Mexican artist Betsabeé Romero at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C.
Before representatives from different sectors of American society, the Ambassador highlighted the value of the arts as one of the main bridges in the bilateral relationship between the United States and Mexico and, in the case of this particular work, some of the cultural elements that Mexican migration has brought to the United States.
In the coming days, the Ambassador will present a copy of this diplomatic credentials to the Department of State in order to become accredited as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico to the United States.
