The Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, Martha Bárcena Coqui, will visit Monterrey, Nuevo León next Monday October 7th; to participate as a keynote speaker of the 46th General Assembly of the American Chamber/ Mexico (AmCham-Mexico) Monterrey Chapter. As part of her visit, she will also hold meetings with business leaders.


More than 500 members of AmCham-Mexico will attend the meeting. In her participation in the forum “Mexico: Challenges and Opportunities in a New Trade Era” Ambassador Bárcena will share her views on the main challenges of Mexico-United States relations and the importance of a quick approval of USMCA.


The AmCham-Mexico has more than 1,450 members nationwide with more than 430 members in the Monterrey chapter. Its membership represents 21% of GDP, contributes 20% of private investment and generate 2.5 million formal jobs and 5 million indirect jobs in Mexico. AmCham-Mexico develops close ties with U.S. Chamber of Commerce and has direct contact with government figures of both countries.
