APPLYING FOR A FAMILY UNITY VISA FROM MEXICO
If you are a Mexican, temporary, or permanent resident and want your spouse, mother, father, or minor siblings to visit you, you can apply for a family unity visa from Mexico.
To do this, you must go to the National Institute of Migration (INM) office closest to your home and submit all the required documentation. They will give you a Unique Processing Number (NUT) that you must send to your family member in Egypt to request an appointment for an interview at this embassy.
Once the interview is conducted, the results are compared and all the documentation is sent to Mexico so they can issue the visa opinion, whether approved or denied.

Requirements to be presented at your appointment in Egypt:
1. Visa application (one for each traveler)
· Duly completed in English or Spanish (Latin characters) and signed by the applicant. The email to apply for a visa must be addressed by the interested party, not by a third party.
· In the case of minors or people with an intellectual disability, BOTH PARENTS or those with legal guardianship must sign the application form.
2. Passport
· It must be valid for at least six months from the estimated date of entry into Mexico.
· Good quality photocopies of pages containing the following personal data:
o Passport number, signature, validity period, or renewals.
o Original and photocopies of previous passports, visas, and entry stamps.
3. Visa application fee : Consular fees.
· PAYMENT IS NON-REFUNDABLE regardless of the visa application result.
· Payment is in cash, ONLY IN US DOLLARS, on the day of the interview with banknotes in good condition issued after 2007.
4. One recent color photograph (no older than 30 days)
· Size: 3.5 x 2.5 cm, white background, NO DIGITAL RETOUCHING (NO PHOTOSHOP).
· The face must be uncovered, without glasses or any ornament.
5. Copy of the Unique Processing Number (NUT) assigned by the National Migration Institute (INM).
6. Copy of the document that proves the family relationship
· For marriages: marriage certificate; and original certificate of the family book ("keed aily" قيد عائلى), translated to Spanish.
· For parents or children: birth certificate showing the relationship
