Please review the following information carefully before requesting an appointment. The Embassy strongly recommends avoiding purchasing flight tickets or hotel reservations until your visa is granted to avoid unnecessary expenses or inconvenience.
1- General Considerations
- Visa processing time: By official provision, visas can take between five and ten working days to be granted.
- Visa validity: Once the visa is granted, it is valid for 6 months. Which means that the foreign person has six months to enter Mexico.
- Schedule in advance: We recommend making an appointment with enough time in advance.

- Nationals of Belgium and Luxembourg do not require a visa to travel to Mexico as visitors for up to 180 days (tourism, studies, unpaid internships, business, technical assistance from abroad, among others).
- The complete list of nationalities requiring a visa is available here: Nationalities that require a visa.
- Citizens of Ukraine, Turkey, and Russia may apply for a free visa, on the following link: Electronic Visa Application (INM).
