Rogelio Granguillhome Morfin

Born in Veracruz, Mexico, on January 4, 1958.
He holds a degree in International Relations, with honours, from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
He has more than 40 years of experience in the Mexican public sector, mostly as a diplomat. He is a specialist in international economic affairs, particularly economic promotion and international cooperation for development.
He is currently Mexico's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Mexico's Head of Mission to the European Union.
He previously served as Mexico's Ambassador to Germany (2017 to 2021). He has also been Mexico's Ambassador to Singapore, concurrently accredited to Myanmar and Brunei (2013-2017), to India, concurrently accredited to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal (2004-2009), to the Republic of Korea (1999-2004), and in Uruguay (1995-1999). During this last period, he also served as Permanent Representative to the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI).
Between 2009 and 2011, he was Head of the Economic Affairs and International Cooperation Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This office gave rise to the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), and between 2011 and 2013, he was its first Executive Director.
He also served as Director General of Economic Relations with Latin America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1990-1995).
He held various positions in the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit's international departments (1980-1990). He has been a professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Matías Romero Institute of Diplomatic Studies, as well as a visiting professor at Dankook University in Seoul, Republic of Korea. He speaks English and French, in addition to Spanish.
He has been decorated by the governments of Uruguay and the Republic of Korea.
He is married and has two adult children.
