Visa for employment offer (WITH work permit)

Any application for a visa or residence permit for employment offer must be submitted to the National Institute of Migration (Instituto Nacional de Migración) by the company intending to employ the foreign national. Once the company obtains the consular interview authorization, you must schedule an appointment with a Mexican consular office to continue with the visa process.

If you already have a consular interview authorization (NUT) and you want to continue with the process at our consular office, we strongly recommend to schedule the appointment no later than three weeks prior to your travel to Mexico. The appointment can be scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., from Monday to Friday (except on holidays in Austria).

Each applicant is responsible for his/her own visa procedure, therefore, before attending your appointment, you should personally read the information provided by this Consulate. We do not recognize information provided or appointments scheduled by third parties.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Valid passport (for another six months at least) with blank pages for visa stamp;
  2. If the applicant is not a citizen of the country in which he/she applies for a Mexican visa, a proof of legal residence must be submitted;
  3. A passport photograph (not older than 3 months) that meets the following requirements:
  • Good quality, no shadows, real colour shades
  • Open and visible eyes, neutral expression
  • No accessories (including glasses, false lashes, etc.), no head coverings and no excessive make-up
  1. Consular interview authorization from the National Institute of Migration (NUT, just a copy);
  2. (Draft) employment contract or work agreement with a Mexican company;
  3. Proof of technical/professional qualification for the activity to be performed;

Please consider that:

  • The application must be filed by each applicant personally.
  • Without exceptions, all documentation must be provided in ORIGINAL with the official stamp and signature of the issuing authority, along with a simple photocopy of each required document. Colored copies or digital formats are NOT accepted as original documents under any circumstance.
  • Documents not issued in Mexico or in the countries of competence of this Embassy (Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia) must be apostilled or legalized by the Embassy of Mexico in the country of origin or residence (as appropriate).
  • Documents in a language other than Spanish, English or German must be presented along with an official translation into Spanish or English by a certified translator, without exceptions. Documents in Slovenian or Slovak language require only a simple translation.
  • Minors must be accompanied by both parents or a legal representative, each of whom needs to present a valid passport. If one of the parents is deceased, a certified copy of the Mexican, Austrian, Slovenian or Slovak death certificate must be presented (the latter two along with a translation into Spanish or English). Documents issued by another country must contain the corresponding Apostille or legalization, as well as a certified translation into Spanish or English. The loss of custody does not imply the loss of any parental rights, so a custodial sentence will not be enough to obtain a visa for a minor without the other parent's authorization!
